I'm about to click a button that will eventually get a Tweecer RT shipped to my doorstep. Any warnings?

I've been back and forth between the Quarter Horse and Tweecer but what pushed me towards the Tweecer is I can easily package everything (all in one, site is cleaner and looks more professional) and there seems to be more people using it and the local dyno guys have experience with it.

I guess i want something along the lines of the sniper tuner, cheap add on boxes that tune from a laptop. Too bad no obd-1 capability. We have at least 10 great tuners local so i guess i'll just go the $300 a car route. Its not like i'll have to tinker with them when they're done.

Shaolin Crane, I have the Tweecer RT and while it does only come with one box, you can store 4 tunes on it. You could have 2 tunes for 1 car and 2 tunes for the othere. all you would have to do then is plug it into the car you are planing to drive and switch to the tune you need. BE and EA should also be purchased as it is much more user friendly. This is my first build so Im no pro tuner but, I can figgure most of it out & I like to do things myself so thats a plus. To the OP, good luck with your choice of tuner & your project. My vote would be for the Tweecer Rt.

Shaolin Crane, I am not sure if there are any shops around you, or within an hours range, but we have some shops in Omaha that have a "life-time tune". So once you pay for them to tune your car, and you do any add-ons, they will tune that car for free. I know some friends who do this, but they still tip them for updating their tune. I am 2 hours away from Omaha, but if needed, I will make that trip, and get a free tune lol. I am not sure if Des Moines have them just yet.

Adam at ST and Greg at RET both do this, not something they charge extra for, they both keep a catalog of customer tunes on file.

I'm not concerned with getting a retune, its just the time to go pickup my trailer, then grab the car, then drop it off, then pick it up, then drop off the car, then take the trailer back, can be a hassle. Most likely i'll end up taking both cars to ST and having him tune them both the same day, just would be nice to tinker with small stuff on my own without taking a whole day aside to get it done.

You could do that, the drawback with the SCT chips are that they are expensive, and every time you change it you have to take it out of the car, put it in the controller, then burn a new tune.
