Is it possible? To take the rear bumper or the 93 cobra saleen style and put it on my 88 gt convertible?

Yes, but you will need to modify the exhaust hangers/isolators to position the tailpipes in the correct spot under the cutouts in the cobra bumper. You will also need LX tailpipes or you will need to cut off the turndowns on your GT tails and buy some 3" tips.

Also, if you're going to get a cobra bumper, look for OEM ones first. If you can't find one, your next best alternative is Cervinis. Either option will be expensive.

Personally I love LX tailpipes anyways, I hate the ass end of a gt. I found one here http://www.designconceptsauto.com/
Got some good reviews from another forum, the price isn't too bad.

Here's my '88 with a Cobra rear bumper cover. Looks and fits like it came on there. I even added the MUSTANG GT decals to it.

As mentioned above you will need a LX/Cobra style catback to make it happen.

Cervini's is good quality. I have also heard (but have no personal experience) that the design concepts are generally good as well.

Cervinis have a good reputation, but honestly from what i've seen their quality is lacking or hit and miss at best. My buddy's Stalker nose didn't line up for crap. Everything else on the car was straight as an arrow, never wrecked etc, but the nost didn't line up at the tops of the fenders at all.

I have heard of the issues with the stalker nose, but I believe that it is something that is specific to that piece. I am personally using the Cervini's cobra kit on my project and the fitment is quite good, and I am happy with the Cervini's hood on my '91 GT as well. I have seen very few complaints about the cobra bumpers from them in general.

I was disappointed with the fitment of the Cervini's cobra kit. I just did not like how anything mounted. Sold it all for OEM stuff. Night and day difference. I do believe that Cervini's is better than the most of the other aftermarket body part companies out there, but nothing beats OEM parts. They are just so hard to come by. I got lucky.

When you took the rack off the back was there any holes to fill?

I didnt remove the rack. I removed the entire trunk lid and installed a coupe lid. No holes to fill there. I have my original lid stored away for someday if I decide to go back there.
Yes if you remove the rack (which is riveted on) there will be many holes to fill including a large hole for the 3rd brake light.

Bad88gt its great to see a young guy into foxes I m in to them cause back when I was in high school they where the kings of the streets . If you take that rack off your trunk lid there about ten holes to fill they could be welded over but your best bet is a notch trunk lid

Thanks :p, yea im really only 1 of about 4 fox body's within a 30 miles radius. I don't see any around here, mostly hondas and 4x4 trucks.

Ill check out the notch trunk, because imo it complements the cobra rear end
