I can't get the picture to open in full size because my internet is being a twat. However, I'm pretty sure that the hose actually goes to your brake pedal, not the clutch. It is for the cruise control. When the brake pedal is pressed, it opens an air valve and relieves the vacuum in the cruise control shutting it off. The other side of it goes into the driver's side fender where all the cruise control vacuum canisters and controls are.

Oh, and for the love of god get rid of that teflon oil pressure gauge hose. That's going to leave you stranded some day. The copper line replacement kit is only like $12.

The is no hose to the cruise control from the brake pedal. That's not how the system works.

When the brake pedal is applied an electrical signal from the stoplight switch to the speed control amplifier will turn off the system; and in addition, the speed control dump valve will mechanically release the vacuum in the speed control servo. This releases the throttle independently of the amplifier control.
