Oh crap, I know the feeling currently painting and replacing my hood because I f"d it up.
You could buff out what you can for now and repaint later ?
Yessir, I’ve buffed what I can. I’m working on touching it up myself to make it livable. Currently painting a new tail light lens, that’s been a separate struggle. It’s original paint (minus the hood and deck lid), and the paint is in really great condition otherwise, so I’m taking it a little hard ATM. A respray is in the future, but then that brings up questions like “should I go with the Cobra rear bumper?” Ugh.
Not really what I wanted to spend money on right now for that car. I’ve spent the last couple years modernizing and upgrading outdated and worn out parts. Too many hours and beers in the garage working on that car. Only in the last couple months has it felt like a car that I can trust, let alone enjoy.
Now I’m doing work on it that not only do I not like, but was unneeded days ago. I was fantasizing about go-fast parts a few days ago and now I’m beating myself to death over how glossy a 18” x 1” strip of plastic looks painted black. Not fun, OCD is turned up to 11...
Bitch session over, probably not the best place for it. I think it’s compounded outside factors effecting me negatively that’s putting me in a funk. Turbo dreams are still there, just a minor bump in the road. Carry on.
