His original offer was way above the estimated value of the company as it was. I don't think he's pulling back because he suddenly doesn't think he's getting a fair deal.

About 20% of twitter is bots. If it is over 5% and Musk can prove it he can nix the deal and twitter owes him $1 Billion. If he backs out of the deal for no good reason, he would owe the current owner $1 Billion.
Musk is playing the twitter fools. He will come out of this better than when he started.

That was tongue in cheek. I have a rep to keep here.

I'm not against getting rich. I'm against greed and getting rich. There is a difference. I'm total asset millionaire, all things considered, but I'm a nice guy and give back. Musk's companies tend to pay well and he is a philanthropist in his own right. I admire that if his tweets are true. Bezos, on the other hand, companies are always derided for low wages and the only philanthropy he's involved is doleing out to his ex-wife and she's spreading his wealth.

I think Amazon pays well..They expect you to work a little harder than people are expected these days..The funny thing is Starbucks unionizing. As if the coffee isn't expensive enough. Paying two weeks vacation to employees every other month is putting that liberal owner over a barrel.

Had a Dutch Bros outlet by my old home in Oregon... GREAT coffee, and U of O cheerleaders working there...
A story..... Friend had some good University of Oregon basketball seats...
