It's Grilling Time! The Official Stangnet Grill/Smoke Thread

Grilling Thread Rant:

I'm not making cheese! :fuss:

Unless that is, I [have] to in which case there will be no youtube videos to tell me how to do it so I [still] won't make any cheese. O_o

/End grilling rant

:D

Not the best pic but they are really good. My wife has had me make them 4 or 5 times in the last week.

Yes. I'm drinking wine with my fiance crunch wrap!
MIght have missed this but can you tell me more about preparing these and what ingredients??
What bread do you use for the shell?? Thanks....

The outside is a grande size flower tortilla. They are simple to make. I brown the meat. The meat is just 80/20 seasoned with onion powder, garlic powder, cumin, and cayenne pepper. I use twice the cumin as I do the powders. Cook the meat and drain then season. The couch comes from the corn tortillas. I double fry them. Once at 325. Then a quick fry at 380.

Flower tortilla.
Fried corn tortilla.
Nacho cheese.
Seasoned ground beef.
Taco bell sauce.
Corn tortilla.
Sour cream.
Guacamole.
Lettuce.
Tomatoes.
Fold and wrap the flower tortilla over the top and spray with baking oil.
Cook it with a panini press.
Enjoy!
You can put whatever you want in them. Easy and tasty!

Looks to me like you are able to get the Flour tortilla to " puff " up a bit?? ....

Nope, just take one out of the bag and load it up with goodness. I spray the outside with either olive oil or baker's joy and set the press to "grill". It's a small press so I only do one at a time. I put a little pressure on the lid of the press to help it out. It doesn't weigh much of anything. After a minute or two I check it. If it looks good I pull it off and move to the next one. If not I keep cooking it. If you do a YT search for "Taco Bell Crunch Wrap Supreme" there are tons of videos showing how to do it.

Hey guys, I’ve been preoccupied for a bit.

So, I bought a souse vide (fancy name for a water heater). It should be here tomorrow.

I plan to do a bunch of stuff with it, mostly cooking…….:demon:

Anywho, I went against my normal food acquiring procedures and bought a membership to Costco. We have one in Tulsa now…….sooooo, we’re not hillbillies…….no…….really.

What I was trying to say is, I bought some prime ribeyes from costco. I tried the closest I have to souse vide right now. I set the oven at it’s lowest temperature (170*) and cooked the steaks to 129*. Took about 1.5 hours. Then I seared them on my old Weber.

Oh my gosh they were good. I have no pictures because I’m a moron. Not an r-tard, a moron.

So, hi again guys.

DAVE!!!! That's awesome, I've actually got 4 steaks going in my Sous Vide right now that I'll throw on the BGE in an hour or so. You won't regret buying it, and I can give you all kinds of tips if you want. Free pro tip, mashed potatoes are awesome in a Sous Vide.
