My arp pack didn’t come with thread sealer. Should I use Antisieze or Thread Locker? I believe the answer is anti seize since water is involved. Yes?

Gasket will block off some of the water ports. Front goes to front and remember to bring the bolts up to torqued spec on three steps. Put sealant on the shorter bolts as they go into the water jacket. When you have it all torqued up let it sit overnight then final torque the head bolts one more time.

I usually let the motor heat cycle once or twice then pull the valve covers and final torque again.

Are you going to stud the lower intake?
I don’t think I’m going to stud the lower intake. Less is more I think right now.
 
So just need thread sealant on lower smaller bolts which are part of the coolant jacket, yes? Liberal amount across threads.

All bolts get the arp ultra high torque stuff below the head.
 
Clean the rocker arms and hardware up with some solvent and a good brush or something like that. Cleanliness is the key to happiness or in this case good oil pressure and no rod knock.

I’m going to keep rocker hardware together and keep their cylinder and valve, but is any of the hardware keyed? It looks like the pivot can be flipped over. As well, is that plate between valves keyed at all? Looks like it can be flipped.
 
Not sure about bolt down style rockers but someone will chime in.

I know Fel-Pro is 80 on the long bolts and 70 on the short bolts. I’m not worried what ARP wants as the seal manufacturer is what dictates what I torque to. As long as you do not yield the ARP bolts they will perform as intended.

With regular studs the 70/80 rule seems to apply. Gasket needs to crush a certain amount to seal so I would do what Fel-Pro recommends.
