Does anyone use this setup?

Holley Black 351W Ford Hi-Ram EFI Manifold

I'm struggling to find a good upper and lower intake for my 393 stroker build.

I know a guy that runs one but he doesn't run a disrtibutor. His car has coils for each cylinder. Looks like a stock ( big cap ) distributor will have a clearance issue. They had one that had the intake on the passenger side but never seen one in person. The front inlet one looks alot like the LS ones. There are a couple turbo guys that run them ( front inlet ) at the local track but those guys are bougie. They don't talk to low lifes like me. Lmao

Why? Didn't you let them win??
Steve ran one on his twin turbo car but moved on to run some tech company or something and left us minor league's behind. He ran COP I believe because of the distributor issue, yeah it looks like a LS swap with that thing. :nono:

Back in our day anything lower than a 12s quarter was fast as hell. These guys have the best of everything. Brand new big dually trucks and those low profile offroad tires on chrome wheels. I really think its because I roll with a legit fast race crew. They still can't figure out how my stuff has been together for over 6 years without issues. They like showing off and I like minding my business. The lowest hp car with our crew ( other than mine ) is 1200rwhp. We aren't arrogant though. Maybe they think I'm a mole...tryin' to learn the trade secret of oiling down the track every other pass.

I got a 'friend' that's similar except he sank time, lots of money into a car he had since he was a teen, I'm talk'n windsor with big honk'n cleveland aluminum heads and a hair dryer that can suck up a large dog from 10' away, 25 something years with this car and never took it to the track. Most his buddies built cars for drag, talked smack but never raced.

I have a 351W block at the machine shop, waiting for the stroker kit to arrive. After some tough times with my 347 stroker, I decided to go bigger and stronger. I've already had the Victor Jr. cylinder heads drilled out, so I’m pretty much committed to this build.

I didn’t realize how hard it is to find EFI parts for this block—it seems like most people are happy sticking with the 302.

Found this guy as well but never seen anyone running them.

What does your car run?

TFS R upper and lower. The lower is no longer made. For what I am building it will work just fine.

You can go the other route and run a carb intake and run a throttle body on top with injectors in the manifold. You can weld injector bungs onto the intake runners and run a stand alone EFI system like a Holley Terminator X. Have this setup for the 69 fastback we are building and should have finished god only knows when.

I've never pushed it to its limit. I've done a couple test and tunes and a few no prep passes. Its turbo, 331, TW heads, xe282hr camshaft, and been together for 10 years. No speed shifting on the tko600...and soft launches on the 04 cobra IRS. Its a decent street beast and a highway monster. My previous car ran 10.43 ¼ at 127mph. Broke a bunch of stuff constantly.....mainly my pockets.

Might go when the track opens and push it a little more before the humid hot air temps come back. I'm curious what I could really get out of it too.....probably a piston.

351 swaps were huge in the 90s and early 2000s. They have completely died off. Now that you can get an 8.2" deck block with 363 cid, the 351 swap engines have lost popularity. It's typical aftermarket. You have the LS, Coyote, Godzilla swaps coming in, and instead of finding a niche and specializing on one thing, every company jumps on the band wagon and tries to out compete each other on price for the same part.

I did have a friend recently get that intake. He did have to ditch the distributor and go coil on plug. It was on a 363, and the car is not running yet. So, basically no help to you.

My concern with that intake would be the runner length. Those look shorter than an LS intake, low and mid-range torque could be lacking. This wouldn't be a big deal with forced induction, but could be an issue for street manners naturally aspirated. Cubes, gears, and a rev-happy engine might be required without boost.

The OP did say it was for a 393 cid build.
That intake should work just fine on the street.
393 = 6.44 L
Larger than most LS engines.
