    PST carbon fiber driveshaft arrived

So you're saying that an aluminum driveshaft is larger in diameter than the stock steel one? I have 2 1/2" Magnaflow catback and plan to get their X-pipe. Would I have any problems with the FRPP aluminum ds fitting?

    MGW shifter install question

Got the new MGW delivered yesterday. I have read about a "something"bob gasket instead of using the RTV sealant. Is there anyone out there that has done it one way or the other and have a suggestion for me. Should I use the sealant or order the gasket?

    Help! 96-98 Cobras..

stevstum is right about the T45. Mine had already been rebuilt when I bought it last year with 46k miles on it. Also just make the normal checks like for rust and smooth body panels. Stay away from wrecks and get a CarFax to confirm.

    10.5 Cobra R wheels on a 01?

I too have heard that a 10.5" won't fit w/o modifiying stuff. I remember reading a thread on svtperformance.com where a guy had to make some changes to get them to fit. I think 9.5" is the best you can get. The new 07 cobra wheel is supposed to be 9.5" and I saw an aftermarket company is...

    1997 Cobra Upgrades

CAI and a good catback like Borla or Magnaflow. Also wider rims/tires in the back for traction. The 94-98 Mustangs look pitiful in the rear fenderwell with the stock wheels. They are 3/4" inch narrower stance than the stock 99+ ponies. 10.5" wheels look awsome!

New best times at Woodburn Drags 7/15

No way! :notnice: Ford claimed 13.99 at 101 bone stock from the factory. Are you on stock tires? Your 60' was pretty bad. I expect traction is your problem.

Thought I'd share my 93 Cobra

when are we going to see the next cobra r??

Ford just announced you can now order for a mere $125k an 05 "boy racer" with the 5.0 cammer engine fully ready to race. It's probably as close as you are going to see for a Cobra R. Too many changes at Ford and SVT this year. The old program is out the window. I think it sucks!

Race with LS1 Trans Am. Not Pretty...

Yeh I raced a buddy's 02 Z28 with LS1 from a roll three times. The best I did was from 60mph in 2nd gear and stayed about 2-3 cars back. Gears are our answer! How many miles on you car? Your IMRC's might be getting some carbon build up on them.

Has any one changed their own gears?

The recent Mustang Enthusiast magazine had a step by step article on how to do this. They made it sound easy enough the way the wrote it, but it definately scared me away from trying it.

    Got Some Detonation Going On.

I am sure some of you get tired of me saying it, but I swear by Valvoline's annual fuel treatment for $8-9. Then use their regular fuel treatment $3-4 once a quarter or even once a month if it's a daily driver. And no, I don't work for Valvoline.

    new '98 Cobra, got questions

The 97 manual calls for 6 quarts of 5w30 and I recommend Quaker State's new full synthetic oil. It also calls for 91 octane, no more, no less.

04 Cobra Diff Cover Ripped Apart

If Ford didn't cover this under warrently, I'm talking law suit. I have a friend with an 03 and he had a cam chain break. They told him the whole engine had to be replaced and it cost him about $5k. They are in a pending suit as we speak.

    Help with 96 Cobra problem

There is a myriad of reasons why this can occur. It can be fuel or ignition related. There could be a vacuum leak somewhere, your fuel filter could be clogged, so on so forth. Best bet is to take it to a dealer and have it checked. If you have a custom tune, you're gonna have to depend on...

So what did all you guys do about all of the extra boot cover? Did you cut it shorter? I have seen it left alone and it looks like a blanket wadded up around the shifter.
