So this means my water pump is shot right?

Real straightforward removal/install. But like 86T-Top stated, DON'T break off any of the bolts, complete pain in the ass. Me and a buddy replaced mine, everything was going great, and then snap, broke one off, took us about 3 hours or so trying to get it out before we ended up drilling it out...

    Battery dead--> car won't crank

I'm thinking the alternator as well. I had a similar problem where I could fully charge the battery, but the alternator wasn't keeping it charged so it would die on me in no time at all. Try using a battery from a friend's car, if it doesn't stay charged either, you probably need a new alternator.

    Whirring/whistling noise from engine...

Mine was fairly easy to diagnose because my car runs perfect except for the power brakes, just tapping on them lightly and I could hear the air escaping from the booster. Check your brakes, if you hear a faint "whooshing" noise, like when you expel air from an air mattress, then it's likely your...

    Whirring/whistling noise from engine...

When I use the brake I can hear air escaping, coming from the brake booster. I haven't had it fixed yet, that's happening next Thursday, but the mechanic said it sounds like the power brake booster has a leak and is sucking in air, and when I shut the engine off the whining noise im hearing is...

    Whirring/whistling noise from engine...

Well, I figured out the problem, turns out that it was my power brakes booster that was creating the problem by causing a vacuum and sucking in air. I knew I had a problem with the booster but didn't think it was also causing this whining noise. Anyway, thanks to all for your help suggestions.

    Whirring/whistling noise from engine...

Checked the gasket between upper and lower, it's fine, same with the fuel rail. Stupid question, but where is the pcv valve located? Also, I pinpointed the noise and it sounds like it is coming from the intake manifold. When I shut off my engine I get the whine for about 5-10 seconds, then it...

    Whirring/whistling noise from engine...

It's the stock clutch style fan. To get it to stop spinning I just removed the fan belt and let the car idle for a bit, to check if it was any of the belt driven accessories that was making the noise, but it wasn't.

    Whirring/whistling noise from engine...

Thanks, I'll make sure I check those tommorow morning. I did remove my upper intake about 2 months ago to poilish it, perhaps I didn't bolt it down hard enough.

    Whirring/whistling noise from engine...

Yea, fuel pump is kind of what I had in mind too, but would the car still be getting enough fuel? It's idling fine still, aside from the noise. I'll try to get a sound clip of the file maybe by tommorow.

    Whirring/whistling noise from engine...

Oil pressure is good and the starter is disengaging.

    Whirring/whistling noise from engine...

My engine is making a whirring/or whistling noise when idiling and when I shut the engine off it makes a howling noise for about 5-10 seconds. I checked the fan and had it not spinning and it still made this noise. It almost sounds like it's coming from the back of the engine or perhaps inside...

    Replacement fan...

Well, for just the clutch itself, the most I'd probably pay is $20 canadian, depending on the condition of it. I can buy a new one here for around $50. I live in British Columbia, Canada. BTW, nice avatar, Stewie is awesome!

    Replacement fan...

Living in a smaller town, there has never been ANY Mustangs at the one junk yard there is here. Anyone know if any other common vehicles share the same fan clutch system???

    Replacement fan...

Looking for a replacement fan/clutch system, anyone know what other vehicles have a similar setup to Mustangs. Not looking to buy a new one as I'm selling the car, just want to go to the junkyard and pick one up cheap. Thanks.

    Power Steering fluid...

Really dumb question, but how full should I fill the power steering resovoir? Quarter full? Half full? I filled up up to where it says "full" on the dipstick, but thats not even an eigth of the way full for the resovoir, is that enough? Thanks.

    Water pump leak?

I'm having a coolant leak coming from the front of the engine and I'm pretty sure its from the water pump. It was doing this a short while ago and I replaced the water pump, but it's starting to leak again. There's also a howling/whining noise, could this be the bearings in the water pump...

    Noise when braking...

Thanks for the help. Normally, I wouldn't worry about it, but I'm in the process of selling my car, and having unusual noises isn't good for the selling process :D

    Noise when braking...

Brakes are not my forte, how would I go about fixing that? The cold air intake doesn't do much at all, but I knew that when I got it. I got it for fairly decent price, I paid $60 canadian for it, well over half price, but it's only there for the looks. I noticed a difference in the BBK...
