    PCV system problems, still...Need help..

I'm throwing this out there to see what you guys think. I'm going to try running the valve cover pcv into the seperator, and then a hose out of the seperator into the intake. On the bottom of the seperator catch bottle there is a drain valve. What if I run a hose from that drain valve to...

    PCV system problems, still...Need help..

Well...... I took it for a spin today, and when I got home the catch bottle was half full again. Bummer... So, now I've got the valve cover valve blocked off, and the back pcv valve going through the seperator to see how fast it fills up. I'm going to take it for a ride soon, so I'll let...

    PCV system problems, still...Need help..

Thanks vristang. I was reading a very long thread that was opened a while back on the problem of oil in the intake, and decided to try a few things. One of the things one of the guys tried was to block off the pcv valve on the back of the intake, and just use the new one on the valve cover...

    PCV system problems, still...Need help..

I've been working on my PCV system adding a second PCV valve to the drivers side valve cover to control the oil going into my intake, because my spacer was getting soaked with oil. I now have an air/oil seperator from Lowes installed with both PCV valves going into the seperator first, then a...

    Question about vac leak.

This may be a dumb question, and if so my appologies. The pcv valve grommet on the back of the intake is pretty worn, and the valve fits in it loosely. Could this be a possible vacuum leak? I ordered a new one yesterday. Just wondering if anyone found this to be the case in the past...

Question about adding 2nd PCV. Please help.

I took off all the PCV hoses, and the fitting where they connect to the intake. The hoses were fairly dry, but I saw some oil still in the intake. I dried it out with a towel on a screwdriver the best I could. I had a little smoke yesterday morning, but none the remainder of the day. I'm...

Question about adding 2nd PCV. Please help.

Just an update, had a little bit of smoke at startup this morning, but none while driving...that i saw. A little bit of smoke also at startup this afternoon, but not as much as the first time. Still think there's a little bit of oil that needs to come out of the intake. I checked both PCV...

Question about adding 2nd PCV. Please help.

One other thing I wanted to mention. Per my mechanical oil pressure guage, I've got 50psi at idle, and 60-70psi cruising. Don't know if that helps the issue. Thank you... Joe

Question about adding 2nd PCV. Please help.

Thanks Jason... Hopefully the valve seals are ok as the AFR heads have only been on for 1 year. I'm going to let it sit tonight, and then start it up tomorrow morning and see if it smokes. I'm hoping it was just oil left over from running it with no baffle. When I was installing the baffle...

Question about adding 2nd PCV. Please help.

I've posted a couple threads about my son and I adding a second PCV to the system. Some how the PCV valves are sucking up oil, because when I start it up it smokes a lot out of the tailpipes. We installed a home made baffle under the PCV valve we just added to the valve cover (I wish I had...

    Second PCV install with baffle...pics

Update from previous thread, we installed the second PCV valve in the drivers side valve cover at first with no baffle. Started it up today, and it blew a bunch of smoke out the back. Drove it for a while, and it seemed ok. Then started it up at a gas station and bummer... more smoke. Used...

    Added second PCV...Pics

Just did it today so we will have to wait and see if it makes any difference with the spacer getting soaked with oil. I'll keep everyone informed. I didn't put a baffle under the second PCV valve i probably should have, but we will wait and see what happens. In a few days, I'll check the hose to...

    DCC Fan/Control Combo...which one?

Iv'e got the 3018 and i couldnt be more thrilled with it. My cooling problems are in the past. I like the temperature set knob, it makes it easy as hissin said to adjust the temperature on setting. Im my opinion you can't go wrong with a DCC unit. Good luck

The thread of the nicest FOXES!

Kind of new to this. Thanks for the reply, I'm not a huge fan of the tips either, but they came with the car, and I haven't got around to buying the straight 3 inch tailpipes that I want. Joe

I agree 100%, the tips aren't my favorite also, but I haven't got around to replacing them with the straight 3 inch polished tailpipes. Thanks.
