    one issue with that setup I just remembered, if you have bends in the airflow right before the MAF you will throw the MAF counts off.

    remember, always try to have a few bends as possible. every time air has to chang direction it looses momentum. besides, I have tried to do several intakes out of pcv. its a waste of time, you'll be happier with some aluminum ducting from home depot.

    ok, so you got a whole second off of timing and ram air. mabey I should get me one of those for a daily beater btw, with mine, I have been through downpours, deep ass puddles, dirt roads, gravel roads, and snowstorms. all I ever got in my airbox was a little sand and a few small stones.

    yes, very much so the first time I drove it with that I felt it as soon as 30mph(this was also a cold day though) got out on the hyway and my 70-100 was ALOT faster. got no back to back et's to back it up so everyone will probobly flame me and tell me I am a ricer

    everything is stock on the heads how you explaned it in the second half of your post is how I did it I went to the haynes to look for "torq spec" and what I listed above with the leakdown tester and all is what it told me should I try some locktite?

    I have had them so tight the actual hose part almost twisted and broke off with the fitting. becouse of that I put one wrench on the upper part to hold it in place while I turn the lower. once it starts to move you should be able to do it with just one wrench though

    I dunno about the theory that you are trying to get to but I wouldn't do it becouse heating up the hood more will make the paint on top of it fade faster
