    Steeda Tri-Ax 3650 Trans

I have for sale a Steeda Tri-Ax shifter for a 3650 transmission. This was on my 2004 Mustang GT for about 20k until I sold the car. It includes a Ford Racing leather shift knob as well. Shift knob is in brand new condition, and the shifter is in perfect working order. It is a little dirty...

    308 build ?s

I had a pump that would seize many years ago in a 79 5.0 Mustang. The culprit was the plastic teeth on the stock cam timing gear. These would break off and get lodged in the pump. For some reason a genius at Ford though plastic teeth on a timing gear would be a good idea! I'm betting this...

Distributor won't install all the way??

:nice: Good solution! That sounds a lot less complicated than the solution in the previously mentioned thread!

    351 vs 302

I did a 351W into my 79 5.0 in about 1988. Back then there was nothing available specifically for a swap. As someone mentioned before, you need to change intake manifold, exhaust, distributor, oil pan/pickup, and your accessory brackets will have to be for the 351W as well due to the width...

    Ram Air Kit Info

I heard (I say heard because I don't have any way to substantiate this) that the the fenderwell kits don't work that well. Something to do with the drawing air through the additional curves throws off the mass air sensor? I don't know really, but it is something I heard.

    Ram Air Kit Info

Thanks for the info. I actually think that March made the kit for Hypertech. As far as eating rocks goes, I never had a problem with it when I had it all those years ago. It still seems to be a good solution for getting unfettered airflow without heating up the filter like a typical in...

    Ram Air Kit Info

Anyone remember the ram air kit that Hypertech made years ago? I put one on my 90 in 93. It was a pretty nice piece. I can't remember what it was called. I don't think they make them anymore, but I thought I might try to find one used. If someone can remember the name of the piece, please...

    Wheel Offsets?

Anyone here have the factory wheel specs for an 04? I am looking into aftermarket wheels and want them to fit properly. Anyone know what the correct offset and backspacing would be for 17x9 rear and 17x8 front? Also, has anyone seen the Halibrand/Cobra style wheel on a 99-04? Mine is...

    Looking at a 65 Fastback

It isn't going anywhere. He isn't advertising it or anything. It isn't bothering him to sit there, just his mom. We're going to find some time in he next week to look at it. He has to clear it out. Apparently all of the loose parts are inside the chassis. Thanks for the input!

    Looking at a 65 Fastback

We are discussing a time when we can get together and take a look at it. I will take pics then and see if I can get them posted. When you say pour water, do you mean in the cowl vents? Then if it winds up inside the vehicle there is an issue? The person who has the car is a co-worker...

    Looking at a 65 Fastback

I am told it isn't rusty. It has been stored indoors for about 30 years. It was last registered in the early 70's. It is supposedly stripped down and the majority of the parts are supposed to be there. There are also numerous replacement parts that the current owner has purchased over the...

    Yet another gas mileage ????

I must be doing something right. I took a highway trip a few weeks ago and got 27mpg with the air on. That was on a 2 lane highway where I had to pass quite a bit. I've never checked how many miles to a tank though. I haven't checked the mileage since. Could be a freak thing I guess.

    SCT xcal2 & predator prices!!!!

I bought a predator from RPM outlet and all it did was make my car detonate a whole bunch. There are no predator dealers in town to do a custom tune, so I would have to rely on RPM to e-mail me a tune, try it on the dyno, then get them to make another one. This would cost me BUCKS on the dyno...

    rear end problemo

Some people use a gasket, some use ultra-blue silicone. I use a gasket with a thin film of ultra blue on each side. The fill hole on an 8.8" rear axle is on the front side above the "equator" & on the drivers side I think. It is a pipe type plug that a 3/8" drive extension will fit into...

    Accufab Plenum & High Idle

I tried re-setting the computer twice. Didn't fix it either time. I'm glad you didn't have any trouble with yours. After alot of searching, I found that many people with this set up have had the problem though. I can't imagine that the plenum woul dbe different for a 75mm TB versus a 70mm...

    Accufab Plenum & High Idle

I recently installed an Accufab Plenum & 75mm TB on my 04 GT. As with everyone else that has done this, I wound up with a "floating" idle. Since this seems to be so common, I have come to the conclusion that Accufab isn't making the plenum correctly. I believe the bolt holes for the TPS are...
