    Oh Crap

    Went out to try to start my turbo coupe donor last Sunday. Only a click, and would not turn over with a breaker bar. Pulling a plug shows rust in the cylinder. So now its got to come out and be redone before any swap. Not sure I am going through with this.

    I had one set rustier than the other. I first put in a set with an aluminum svo quadrant, only to find it did not want to play with the 2.3 clutch cable. Took it out, put in the one with the clutch switch, etc. Thanks for the feedback, may bend them apart some.

    Since this is an automatic computer, this should not affect anything. Have not tried to pull codes yet, Except for a bit of surging idle, it drives nice. Cleaned the iab and that helped.

    No, I bought the 89 coupe in 05 with overdrive broken in the A4LD. Put in a $100 trans which lost second gear in Feb. I also bought a T5 setup from a wreck in 05. Stored it, moved it to MS and back, finally installed it in 2016!

    Yep, doing an auto to manual swap, I saw the tunnel piece last night, did not find the seal. Looks like I will just country boy it for now. I put tarpaper over the tunnel cut in the Chevelle for three years after putting in a tko 600.

    Water Pump Bolt

    Been down this road. Pull the timing cover. Mine had corrosion in there that probably helped stick the bolt. Makes it much easier to deal with. Finished at 1 am. Drove to work at 0600.

    So, I got started on the five speed swap, and reading up on the turbo swap. I have complete 83 and 87 Turbo Coupes for donors. The swap instructions say to use the TC computer but mod the Mustang wiring harness. Can I just use the TC harness?
