Went out to try to start my turbo coupe donor last Sunday. Only a click, and would not turn over with a breaker bar. Pulling a plug shows rust in the cylinder.

So now its got to come out and be redone before any swap. Not sure I am going through with this.

Pull the plugs out and spray penetrating fluid in the bores. Try and turn the crank by hand with a breaker bar. If it turns by hand disable the fuel pump and crank the car to blow all that junk out.

You can also try filling the cylinders with atf, or marvel mystery oil. Let it sit for a few hours or overnight then try it with a breaker bar.





Just so we're clear leave the spark plugs out...... but I'm sure you knew that.
