    O/R pipe question

Exhaust leaks can also cause backfires. You might wanna check that out.

lost low end torque with LT headers

Keep in mind most of these mods really shine in the upper rpms, so even if you don't lose anything down low, the top end is so much more powerful that it makes the low end seem less powerful when it isn't. It's just that there is so much more up top.

    Copper VS Platinum Spark Plugs

You'll get a little more performance out of copper plugs, but they also wear out much quicker. With a supercharger you should run copper plugs and change them every 10,000 miles or so. However if you don't have a major power adder, then platinum will do you just fine and you won't have to...

    Best H Pipe Fit?

MAC has a new 3 piece H-pipe instead of the old 2 piece that required a clamp on the H Connecting Segment. The new one has the H section as a solid piece then a pipe that goes to the passenger side header and a pipe that goes to the driver side header. They have ball and cup fittings on all...

    o2 sensor question

That's probably exactly what it is. If you have a bad connection or one of the components go bad, it's gonna give you that code. Also, some cars just don't respond well to those MIL's. Mil Elimanators work most of the time, but there are still cars out there that go through several sets and...

    o2 sensor question

Yes, they could. That's not saying that it definitely is, but yes they could. Your car is probably running excessively lean or rich if your o2 sensor is bad and that gives you stuttering and hesitation problems. Does your h-pipe have cats or not? If you are getting a check engine light...

    o2 sensor question

You might get some stuttering and hesitation, less fuel mileage. It will probably be a little down on power, but nothing drastic.

Check Engine Code, what does it mean?

It probably means that if you have MIL eliminators, than one has gone bad or if you don't then it's just telling you that you have no cats. If your h-pipe has high flow cats it can still sometimes set off those codes.

Check Engine Code, what does it mean?

P1130 Lack of Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor Switch - Adaptive Fuel Limit - Bank No. 1. P1131 Lack of Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor Switch - Sensor Indicates Lean - Bank No. 1. There you go.

    ticking sound with o/r h-pipe

I just got back from a local exhaust company, they completely checked it from headers to tailpipes and there was absolutely no leaks. He said it was just a normal sound with no cats that you could hear the valves chatter more. But he said there were no leaks, so I guess its just normal. Like...

    ticking sound with o/r h-pipe

Well I just took everything apart again and checked the gasket and realigned all the ball and cup fittings and tightened it back down and it's still there, so I guess it's the same old tick I've always had. Maybe I've got a leaky header gasket, but I am not about to jump into that any time...

    ticking sound with o/r h-pipe

I have always had a ticking sound even before I bolted on my new offroad h-pipe. Kind of like an injector click or even a ticking valve, but it comes from lower down and back like an exhaust leak, but I was never able to find one. Is this a normal sound. I have heard before that offroad pipes...

    Car Stuttering in Morning?!

Mine's been doing that for a long time. If you let it warm up for a minute it doesn't do it. I have narrowed it down to an O2 sensor that isn't heating up fast enough. It's not off enough to throw a code, but if it doesn't heat up fast enough and start switching, then you get stuttering and...

Anyone Got the MAC offroad H-Pipe?

I've got it on! I thought I would piss my pants when I first fired it up. Talk about a hotrod now. It sounded good before, but this thing is just intimidating now. Especially with the supercharger. Thanks for the comments guys. The guy I bought it from told me to use a new ford gasket, but...

Anyone Got the MAC offroad H-Pipe?

Anyone Got the MAC offroad H-Pipe?

I am thinking of getting the MAC Offroad H-Pipe. I run welding in flowmasters at the time. Is this a decent piece? How's the sound?

Anyone install PI intake without tune?

I would never have thought that it would work well being mismatched, but if you say so, I'll take your word for it. I had always heard the ports were different at didn't match up, so I assumed it wouldn't work, but I guess I assumed wrong. Swap away.

Anyone install PI intake without tune?

Well, we are both right. The Non-PI ports don't line up to a PI intake and won't directly fit. BUT livernois does make an adapter that mates them up. I had forgotten that they made an adapter for it.

Anyone install PI intake without tune?

The ports are different on the heads between the PI and Non-PI's. So you can't swap the intake without the heads. And a tune is definetly neccessary after the swap. That's not to say it won't run, but it will be a whole different beast with the tune.
