Ole Yeller is ready for the road

Thanks! I called several different insurance companies. I will try to get some insurance tomorrow. I Installed a new steering rack and tie rod ends, so I will need to take it straight to the alignment shop and then for a nice test drive. :D

Ole Yeller is ready for the road

Thanks! I was an aircraft mechanic also. I worked for Flight Systems Inc. in Myrtle Beach, SC. After Sept 11, 01 the company went down the tubes. I got my NC plumbing license, so that's what I do now. I don't miss all of the paperwork and red tape of working on planes. I don't have insurance...

Ole Yeller is ready for the road

I finally have "Ole Yeller" ready for the summer. (1994 Mustang GT) It has been a year and a half project. The man that I bought if from installed the new engine and transmission, then stopped working on it due to the economy. It was in a shed for over two years with well water in the engine and...

    Underdrive Pulley Question

I have read several articles about underdrive pulleys. My water pump pulley is warped. I thought it was my water pump shaft, but after installing a new water pump, the pulley still has a wobble. The old water pump was stock and the car is a 1994 GT, so I'm glad that I got a new pump...

You guys talked me into it!

I appreciate your comments! :D I did not build this engine from scratch, so I can't take much credit for it! A guy from Holcombe Motorsports built the new engine and transmission for the man that I bought it from a few months ago. It has about 2000 miles on it. I have been trying to get him...

You guys talked me into it!

I finally got rid of the crazy long exhaust tips that I had on my car last week. Now you can't really see any tips at all. I do like it better! Now I just have to replace the squeaking power steering pump, and I think that it will be good to go! Here is a new video from yesterday...

Do these exhaust tips look stupid?

Serious Question / No Joke! I realize that you probably think that I am an idiot by now! This thread has been kind of funny, but it's getting pretty silly as you all know. Is there a problem, when you can see where the exhaust connects to the existing pipes, under a car, or does the...

Do these exhaust tips look stupid?

Today, a buddy of mine brought over some new exhaust tips that he has been working on and talking about for weeks! Don't tell too may people, he is trying to get a patent on them at the moment! I think that these will really bring out that Mustang "Trade Mark" sound that everyone enjoys...

Do these exhaust tips look stupid?

You guys are taking me too seriously! The part about the Redneck or Dukes of Hazzard was supposed to be a stereotypical joke. All of the snobs that drive a Mercedes, BMW, Lexus, or whatever, around here always think that Camero, Mustang, Hot Rod, or jacked up Pickup Truck drivers are all...

Do these exhaust tips look stupid?

I cut 3 inches off of the exhaust tips this morning, and moved them forward. They stick out about 1 1/2 inches now. That is all that I am going to be able to get out of them, otherwise they won't mount and they will leak. They look better now, I think? They look better than the...

Do these exhaust tips look stupid?

Hummmm! I use to own a 1967 Vette. One of the best looking things on the car was the 4 feet long exposed exhaust pipe. And sure, people could burn the hell out of their leg when getting out of the car, but you can burn the hell out of your hand if you touch a hot burner on your stove or take...

Do these exhaust tips look stupid?

I guess that I shouldn't have bought any exhaust tips, and just left the car alone! Less is more sometimes! I didn't realize that if the tips are sticking out past the bumper a few inches, that they would look bad to some people. If the tips are under the car and you can't see them, I...

Do these exhaust tips look stupid?

Last week I bought some tips. I can't bring the exhaust tips in any further. There is a welded support bracket in the way that holds up the tail pipes, and the tips are about 9 inches long. (Magna Flow Stainless Steel) I have a Dodge Ram 1500 truck, and they are also sticking out. like...

Street Legal Laws In North Carolina?

Before I go to the DMV and get them involved with knowing about my car, I wanted to see if you guys could tell me if my car is totally street legal or not? SN-95 - 1994 Here in NC anything later than 1995 must have smog inspection. Everything is different! Block, racing pistons, racing...

I Think She's Ready For The Road!

What else do you think I need to do to it? I did another quick video with my digital camera, so it's poor quality! I made a few adjustments to the intake and throttle yesterday, and it seems to run a little smoother. YouTube - Mike's 1994 Mustang - Finally Ready For The Road!

    New Headers???

I am an aircraft mechanic, so I just made one. Get a piece of 1/2" flexable soft copper pipe at the hardware store, about 2 feet long. This will make bending easier. If you know a plumber you can borrow his tube flaring kit, or rent one from a plumbing store. Put the two nuts on the soft...

Power steering pump or pulley squeak

My power steering pump or pulley is chirping / squeaking. 1994 5.0 After spraying some silicone spray where the pulley meets the shaft, it will stop for a few minutes. Question: Since the pulley is pressed on, does it have bearings, or are the bearings in the pump itself? I am...
