    Thanks for the help. The gears are unused and not installed. The ring has 41 teeth and the pinion has 10. I think that equals 4.10. Anyone know? :D

    My buddy has a set of unused 8.8 gears but he can't remember if they are 3.73's or 4.10.

    Thanks for all the help. I am looking for a shifter. It sounds like most of you like the tri-ax. Last time I was part shopping was back in '94 for my 5.0. Alot has changed! :p It's great how everyone is here for the love of our stangs! This is my 5th! Can you say addiction! :rlaugh:

    Is there a difference between the 5 spd tranny in a 99-00 and 01 and up? If so which do you think I have or do I find out? I have an 01 made in 10-00. :shrug:

    Gas mileage is horrable?!

    My 01 gets about 18 MPG city/ 20 HWY no matter how I drive it. My 99GT and the two 98GT's were all about in this range. Congrats to those getting 250+ to a tank. (2.03 per gallon for 87 here!)
