    I have a stock 2000 GT in need of a new clutch, I was wondering if a Centerforce Dual Friction clutch would be a good choice, I just want something that will last! My current clutch is the original stock clutch and the car has 64K miles. Any ideas appreciated.

    Thanks, I emailed Steeda to be sure it was in stock and they dont have it either :shrug: So thats 2 sites that dont have it in stock .. any other reputable places online I can try? I tried the 4th gear trick and my clutch is definitely bad.

    Interesting.. but the fact that the chattering gets progressively worse as the car warms up makes me think its the clutch? ..Ill try the 4th gear method and see what happens.

    Americanmuscle is out of stock on the king cobra clutch but Steeda has what appears to be the same clutch for $30 less?? Am I missing something here: http://www.steeda.com/products/ford_racing_clutch_kits.php Also do I want the $179 10.5" version? Thanks for the replies.

    My 2000GT occasionally does the same thing, Fog horn is a good description ..I'm not sure why it does it but revving up the motor a few times always gets rid of it, only seems to happen when I first fire it in the morning with the heater on. It sounds a lot like this...

    Well that makes sense, My previous 95 Saturn didnt do this so I just wanted to make sure it was normal, then again the Saturn's heater was pretty weak overall (it works 10x better in the Mustang) , Thanks for the quick replies.

    Whenever I have my Heater set on Defrost or Mix it causes the motor to randomly drop idle as well as a random loss of power, If I use the Floor setting this doesn't happen. Is this normal behavior? Thanks.

    Actually im noticing a slight loss in power as well ,it feels like im having to give the car more gas & clutch than usual in order to take off smoothly, otherwise it falls flat on its face ..sort of speak, can the IAC have anything to do with that?

    Hm ya that's what I was thinking about doing and go from there , I doubt carmax used a motorcraft filter or oil, since the noise goes away after a few minutes I'm guessing its not something to serious (Hopefully). Ill report back once I change the oil/filter. Thanks for the replies.
