    What does the computer control in the carbed 2.3L?

    I think it is just for the ignition timing. I am about to put an MSD, and an older style distributor in mine and someone told me after that I don't need the computer, but I really don't know.

    3.73 Rear End

    Thank you that helps me a lot. I do want to change to 3.73 gears just so I can be a little quicker, and I have a buddy who put those in his 99 GT and I really liked the way they felt. I have an 84 5.0 Tbird, do you think that would have a posi rear end or any parts I can use.

    so will a flowmaster 40 sound pretty good a NA2.3?

    I have a ranger header, no cat , 2" exhaust, and a flowmaster 50 series, and it sounds great. It idles really deep, and still sounds good in the higher rpms. I would recommend a 50 series over a 40 because I thunk the 50 sounds deeper.

    I have a T5 from an 86 turbo coupe that I want to put in my 85 mustang with a 4-speed manual. Can I just bolt the tranny right in with a new clutch and rear main seal, or do I need the crossmember off of the Turbo Coupe. Also, is a T5 from an 86 coupe a "world class"?

    Holley 500 2bbl Throttle Cable Problem

    I just put a Holley 500 cfm 2bbl on my 85 2.3l mustang. I bought a throttle cable bracket that mounts onto the studs used to mount the carburetor and everything lines up good. But my throttle cable doesn't mount on to the bracket, and it is too long. Has anybody run into this problem who may...
