Holley 500 2bbl Throttle Cable Problem

I just put a Holley 500 cfm 2bbl on my 85 2.3l mustang. I bought a throttle cable bracket that mounts onto the studs used to mount the carburetor and everything lines up good. But my throttle cable doesn't mount on to the bracket, and it is too long. Has anybody run into this problem who may have some ideas for fixing it.

Just make yourself a custom bracket w/ some angle or sheet metal. Tools would be hacksaw, file, drill. Just did the same for a Throttle Body a few days ago.
