    Door not shutting

No no, the mechanism is jammed. Its not supposed to be clamped shut when the door is open right? Obviously I cant tell what its doing when the door is shut, but the door does shut if you slam it really really hard, so I guess its biting a little bit. I will check it out later today with your...

    Door not shutting

Hey guys on my 73 'vert...heres the deal, the door used to shut fine. Now its not. The two "clamps" or whatever you would call them will not open up to accept the knob on the body of the car. You cant force them up with a screwdriver, nor will locking/unlocking the door. Unlocking or locking...

    Thinking of pulling the motor...

Hey guys I'm thinking of pulling the motor to freshen it up a bit...this would be my first time pulling a motor, and the biggest job I've attempted. So far, most I've done was change a couple headgaskets, but nothing this deep into the motor. How hard is this? Probably really simple on these...

    What year motor?

so even tho its a 73 it had the 72 HO? The Vin had the "Q" designation, and a little research told me it was a 351 4v. How much horsepower did it have if it was the 72? Damn, this car has really been abused too, it was once a standard at some point, and someone converted it to automatic...

    What year motor?

Hey guys, I ran the vin on my Mustang and it turns out it came out of the factory with the 351 4v, 266hp. Was this a rare motor or something? Anyways, somewhere along the line it was changed to a 302 :notnice:, but in trying to figure out the horsepower(since a 302 changed from year to year)...

    0-60 time

I have the boost turned up to 16psi(11 stock) and a K&N filter. I wouldnt say it gets better than 6.0, but its usually always around there.

    0-60 time

Why are these cars so slow? I mean my Eclipse(2.0 turbo) gets to 60 in 6.0 on a slow day...and its FWD. Is it the weight factor?

    Looking to buy a mustang

I picked my 73 convertible up last month, for 3,000. It needs a little work, but was able to be driven home. I redid the interior, and luckilly, there isnt any rust so new paint will be coming soon. I'm having a blast, real fun. As what to look for, with any car, look at the lines. If any...

    Hello again and a question

Well yeah it would be easisest, but it would probably pit it, especially since its Aluminum. Wire wheel is old fashioned, but it gets the job done.

    Repairing plastic dash peices

Hey guys, I'm redoing my interior with new carpet, seats, and panels. The dash was ok, I just took it apart and re-sprayed everything black with Krylon plastic fusion flat black. That stuff works amazing, the dash looks brand new, and hardly spraypainted. However, some of the dash peices are...

classic car insurance for crappy drivers?

Sure about that? I havent even been driving for 10 years, and I was able to insure my 1975 TR6 with no problems. If its not a daily, definatly call up Condon and Skelly. Its 100 dollars a year for the TR6, and will be 88 a year for the Mustang :hail2:

    Dash wiring...interior wiring

I'm starting to put my interior back together, and realizing the person before me hacked the **** out of this car. First, there are purple wires that run under the sill plate on the passenger side, and driver side. On the driver side, they go back into where the convertible top goes. On the...

    Ticking, smoking

My car gets weirder everyday. Today I started it up and let it idle for about a half hour. Went to rev it a little, and it liked it. It now rev's freely  I think the ticking is the valves, they probably need adjusting.
