Look what I saw at junk yard today! Just incredible!

I should have followed him (at a distance), because I would not be surprised one bit if that rear header panel just busted after hitting a couple bumps. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that just fiberglass with no metal supports or anything?

Look what I saw at junk yard today! Just incredible!

I didn't look too close at it, I just kinda laughed and stared, but yeah I think it was an F-150 motor.

Look what I saw at junk yard today! Just incredible!

After just dumping it in there I proceeded to watch them just drive off with it exactly as you see it below without strapping it down (although how the heck would they have strapped it down), hopefully he didn't have to slam on the brakes and crush himself and the passenger. Sorry for the...

Stupid carrier pin locking bolt!! How do I get it out??

I tried hammering on the pin with big punch for quite a while and it didn't work. What is breaking for you guys, the big carrier pin, or the retainer bolt? Is it better to beat on on side of the pin rather than the other. I didn't have anybody to help me last night, but I'm gonna have...

Stupid carrier pin locking bolt!! How do I get it out??

Ok, I buy rear ends from the junk yard to part out and this is the 4th time this has happened to me !@#%!!!!! Can't they think of something better or make stronger bolts?!? In case I am not calling it the correct name when I call it the Carrier pin locking bolt - I am reffering to the small...

Powder coating front hubs/ removing bearings??

They are sealed assembly in the sense that once you put the hub on the spindle they are sealed, but with the hub off the bearings are exposed and you can re-grease them. I do powder coating on the side and I want to do for rust prevention, and looks.

    Baddest mustang ever?? Holy #%&!

That's really wicked and all, but there's always something that erks me about seeing a classic like that "bastardized" with tubbing, sheet metal interiors, and a wheelie bar. Though it is really the baddest Mustang ever!

are ford gt-40x heads any good

They're good heads if you can get a used pair for like $500-$600, otherwise for what they cost brand new you might as well get some AFR's or Trickflow's.

Help with disassembling a 3G alternator

I've had a few alternators apart before, but quite a while ago and never a 3G. I got the pulley off, the front half of the case, and the regulator, but I can't get the stator and rotor assembly to come off the rear half of the case. The stator, rotor, and rear case all seem to move freely of...

where is the balencer located?? please help

Sorry, no offense intended. Just a suggestion, one that doesn't know what a balancer is or where it's located isn't the best candidate to change one. I know that we can give you good advice and instructions on how to change it, but it's not exactly the same as changing your oil. It can...

where is the balencer located?? please help

IMO, if you don't know where the balancer is you probably shouldn't attempt to change it yourself.

Powder coating front hubs/ removing bearings??

So I know the front hubs are sold as a complete assembly and you can't buy the bearings alone at your local auto parts store. I do powder coating myself and I have seen guys powder coat the SN95 hubs before. I don't know if 350-400 degree cure temp would ruin the bearings or not, however the...

    Explorer Sport Trac

I've got an 02 4.0 4x4 and I like it. I've towed a little bit with it and it does ok but not great, towed some fairly heave loads but not, never towed a car though. Considering mine's got 4:10 gears in rear it's a little gutless. Don't know much about the 4.6's though.
