What was the first year of body stile before the fox body?? got money on this one!!!!

Jason, that was the 89 1\2 that was the 25th anniversary which had the running pony on the dash with 25th anniversary on it (I've got one...dark shadow blue 4 banger), my brother's early '89 GT has the pony on the dash, but it doesn't say 25th anniversary. Plus, the mustang debuting in 64 1\2...

    93 cobra intake?

I had that same problem with my ford racing VCs. The oil filler neck on the SN95s are right up by the alternator while the fox and Ford Racing VC's oil filler neck is back a couple of inches which hits the intake elbow. Regardless of the oil filler location on my VCs, I would have had to run...

    ignition

I agree, I'm sick of every one trashing tried and true parts because they're "old technology". Heck, the vaunted 5.0L engine is very old technology. The first 302 debuted in mustangs back in '68, and the mass air 5.0L engine in the form that we all love is almost 20 years old. Ironicly, for...

    smog tube

If it's an off road x-pipe filling the tube with JB Weld and letting it cure will do the trick, if the x-pipe have cats you need that tube hooked up. Tim

Is she drunk or am I? PICS INSIDE!!!

I like the whole setup, but since I have that fuel door I'm biased. The silver bullits look really good and ties the fuel door and antenna all together with the fender badges. Overall looks great! Tim

    water pump re-install help

Did you check the inner gasket between the pump and the backplate or just the outer gasket between the plate and the engine block? I had to go in and RTV one side of both gaskets, tighten the plate bolts, and then bolt the pump to the block on my brother's '89 GT...no leaks. Tim

    93 cobra intake?

Perhaps it's just coincidence then because I had the Edelbrock adapter and the holes were slightly off compared to my 93 cobra. If you got yours to work I'm happy. Either way, after researching all of the possibilities of using the elbow it was a toss up on the amount of work and fabrication...

heads and cam question on 95 cobra

I'm with you on pedestal, on a street\strip car they're fine and a lot less hassle than stud mount. Tim

Aftermarket Aluminum Radiators for 94 / 95 cars?

:stupid: Me too Grady, in fact the longest part of the whole installation was burping the cooling system! Tim

What was the first year of body stile before the fox body?? got money on this one!!!!

Hate to burst your bubble, but 99-04s were known as Fox Vs (as in 5 not "vee") and Fox 4 had nothing to do with being released in '94, it had to do with being the 4th Fox generation after the first generation debuted in '79. Tim

    93 cobra intake?

The bolt holes on the edapter and the intake don't line up..they're slightly off. And as Whytstang mentioned the built in EGR spacer moves everything a couple of inches out of tolerance which means fabricating an induction system just like the Fox TB conversion, possibly re-routing or extending...

cobra brakes on gt question...not a tech question.

What's wrong with showing you're brakes are upgraded? Personally I think it's smart and it's not like you're making your car a "Fauxbra" by putting snakes on the fenders and front grill. Tim

    93 cobra TB

Pick that up fast, but you won't be able to use it on your SN95 without donig the Fox TB conversion. TIm

    WTF Brake caliber bolt??!!!

Whew, I thought you meant caliper, I was going to tell you .45 caliber when you asked for a "caliber bolt" hehehe

    EGR question, ive searched..nothing.

EGR doesn't hurt performance as it's not functional at idle or WOT hence no track performance hurt. The EGR is in the car in order to reduce NOX formations from higher combustion chamber temperatures. The EGR actually reduces combustion chamber temperatures but being less volatile. The down...

    93 cobra intake?

The elbow isn't "plug and play" like some people say, you'll have to redrill a couple of holes in the adapter to attach it. I personally converted to the Fox TB setup to run the 93 cobra intake as there are some benefits such as internal EGR, cheaper throttle bodies and cleaning up the engine...

    GT40 INTAKE ??s

You forgot the EVAP vacuum hose. Now sure where that hooks up on the GT40, but on the 93 cobra it's on the front by the TB.

    Iron GT-40 Head question

That seems like it's talking about Explorere GT40 heads as they need to be milled to give the stock mustang compressions ratio. (I'm guessing here as my Ford Technical CD is still in transit from my move) but GT40s on cobras had 61cc and E7TE had CCs ranging from 61-63 cc each (mass produced GT...

    new BBK intake mani

Yep, I believe "confused" was the work the author of the articule used to describe the SSI intake on a N\A 302. It seems most people are just interested in the looks of the intake. Tim

Cobra lower vs. true GT-40 lower

They're the same lower intake manifold, the only difference will be the ACT sensor hole behind the #5 runner is not there if it's a 94\95 cobra lower or and explorer lower. Now whether or not the new Ford Racing Chinese made 1993 cobra lower is as good as the US made one is a matter of...
