    EZ WIRING vs PAINLESS

    I am planning on rewiring my dash panel. All the wires have been cobbed up by the previous owner and many of the colored wires have been replaced with black. I also want to upgrade the fuse box. Does anybody have any feedback about the products sold by EZ Wiring. I see that the EZ Wiring 12 and...

    winter = snow

    I had a wire head switch the wires so the traction control is always off. I don't like or trust it. I put in a traction loc differential with 3.73 gears. I have only gotten stuck once in 24" of unplowed snow because I forgot to put my sand bag in the trunk. Walked up the driveway, got the sand...

    Correct Coil Springs

    Just got my 66 GT back from the shop. I had them put in KYB Gas Shocks and 480 lb Coil Springs. Car rides great until I hit a bump. Then it bottoms out and the tires hit the fender well in the front and the back end has a little bit of a hop. Should I be looking at 600 lb Coils in the front...

    VIN# Problem

    I think I am going to give a call to Carfax. They list the car as a 32V SOHC. I have beeb ubable to prove this with any decoder. I agree with you, the 2000 GT should be a 16 V, but Carfax boast of being correct, so I am going to hold them to the claim.

    VIN# Problem

    I just purchased a 2000 GT Convertible. When I ran a car fax on the car it indicated that it was a 32 V SOHC engine. I can not locate anthing on the valve covers or easily apparent in the engine bay to confirm that this is a 32 Valve and not a 16 V. Does anybody have any suggestions as to...

    Rough Ride

    I am not sure of the shocks? I push on the back and it does depress and bounce back up without a lot of effort. The front seems stiff and is hard to push down. The car has 59,000. miles on it. If I replace shocks/struts, what would be a good recommendation. I do not race or bring this car to...

    any painters interested near buffalo, NY

    I can recommend who not to go to, since I paid about $2,800.00 and got a real crappy job. I really do not think you are going to get a good paint job for a $1,000.00 MACO will do their premium for about $800.00. I do not know how good MACO is now, in the past they advertized cheap and...

    Paint Problems

    I guess the humerous side to this is that when I was trying to get him to fix the paint job(even offered to buy the materials), I would never tell people who painted it. Now when people approach me at the Home Depot. I tell them very enthusiastically who painted the car. I even give them his...

    Paint Problems

    He told me he wase using Dupont Base Coat Clear Coat. Apparently from what the other shops and the Ford Dealership Paint shop told me, he mixed the two and did a one coat application. The car was painted about 20 years ago a metalic Burghandy. I was having FORD PERFORMANCE RED applied. No...

    Paint Problems

    Being new to restoration and especially paint shops, I took my 66 to a shop that BS'd me pretty good. I didn't even challenge the price since the guy really talked a good game. To make a really long story short, I find that the paint is peeling, rippled rough to the touch and has a lot of black...
