    Rear wheel backspacing

That's not what I wanted to hear. I just measured, and the passenger side sidewall is 1.5" inside the outer fender. The driverside is only .5". I guess my eyes are still calibrated pretty well. I do think it need control arm bushings though. It walks around on me a little bit with sudden...

    Rear wheel backspacing

I just put some 275/40/18's on the back yesterday, and I noticed something funny. The passenger side wheel sits, what looks to be, about an inch further in the fenderwell than the driverside. The driverside tire is almost flush with the fender while the passenger tire is rubbing on the axle...

    Well, it's time (tire reccomendations)

.. You guys aren't going to believe this one. I just went to a little used tire shop on the wrong side of town to get some tires for my boat trailor. While their being mounted, I was walking around the shop, and noticed a good looking set of Goodyear Eagle F1 GS's in 275/40/18 sitting in a...

What type of Horn system do we have?

If only one of your horns is working (high/low), you will get really funny sounds. I don't know if that could be the problem. What I do know is that the horn button itself acts as a switch on these, closing a circuit. Where most vehicles have a single wire set-up, ours has two. Brandon By...

Would Higher Octane Gas Make Your Car Slower?

Why does everyone on here seem to accept the fact that their car is pinging  ? If your car is pinging on 87 onctane fuel, there is something wrong with it, period. Either there is a component in your fuel delivery system that is malfunctioning, or your mods have gotten to the point that...

What would u drive if there was no MUSTANG?

One of my other Ford's, and I'd probably have a Bronco in it's place, but if there weren't any Ford's... A 1982-83 Datsun 280ZX Turbo, 5-speed, fully modified of course including full brake, and suspension upgrades, fiberglass front end (hood, fenders, clip), wheels, cam, exhaust, etc. Brandon

    Well, it's time (tire reccomendations)

Here's what I found... 275/35WR18 BFGoodrich g-Force Sport Blackwall on tirerack for $675.44 shipped (ouch). Anyone have a better idea? Brandon

    Well, it's time (tire reccomendations)

The 245's do look too skinny, and the wheel will rub curbs before the tire will, so your probably right. Now for the fun part. I want a soft/sticky tire for the back, but at the same time I don't want to be buying another set after 8-10k miles. I like the g-Force T/A's, but I'm sure they would...

    Well, it's time (tire reccomendations)

I was just in the garage, and noticed that the driver front tire had a tread groove that didn't match the rest of the tire. Upon closer examination, I discovered that it is actually a rip going all the way through to the steel belt :Damnit:. I was on the way to needing new tires anyway though...

Piecing my stereo system together for my 95

One of them is my new shift knob. Then I figure I'll hang two in a rubber sack under the back bumper like the trucks do :D You wanna sell that NOS kit you have in your garage? Brandon

    Spray Painting advice?

I spray paint EVERYTHING. I haven't had anything turn out bad yet. The key with plastic is the prep (clean with alcohol, or equivalent), prime (atleast two coats), and don't let it get too wet (paint). You can always get a spot on the next coat. If you get a run or some bubbles, let the paint...

    from the ugly stang files...

That car has been on Ebay off and on for a couple months now. It wouldn't be TOO bad if he ditched the wheels, and got rid of the Cavalier front end. Atleast it doesn't have dragon decals all over it. Brandon

I hope this is not a Stangnet member

Man you know how the media swings stories. Plus their only telling their side of it. The two firefighters probably did a lot more than tap on the back of the car. Still no reason to run a man down though. Brandon

Piecing my stereo system together for my 95

Thanks guys. I'll rip that thing out of there, and get some new measurements. I don't know if I'll be able to get it going this weekend though. It depends on if I can get the exhaust put in my ol truck tonight, or if that runs into tomorrow. Brandon

Piecing my stereo system together for my 95

I never heard the Mach system with a stock headunit (car didn't have anything when I got it). It sounded OK with the Alpine. I just discovered that I may have a slight problem. I measured between the bottom of the rear speaker cover to the floor of the trunk, and it was only 11 3/4". How are...

How does flowmaster sound with X-pipe ??????

I have a FlowTech O/R X with Flows, and dumps. I believe they are three chamber because their not extremely loud. It has that popping sound when you let off at high RPM's and it does sound exotic turning 5,000RPM under an overpass. I liked it a lot at first, but it doesn't really have that mean...

Piecing my stereo system together for my 95

Right now I just have an Alpine CDA-7893 running the stock Mach stuff. Waiting in the wings, I have... 4 Kicker KS68 two-way coaxial speakers for the doors, and rear decklid. They will be powered by a Verge VGA460 (220W 4-channel) amplifier. I will probably also utilize the stock tweeters...

Sorry guys, but I think it's going to be time.

I know a guy that traded in an 03 GT for a Benz last year. I can't remember the exact model, but it's the 200hp SC'd I4. He's about to do the same thing (coming back). Everytime I see him, he starts telling me how much he misses his stang. Brandon

Sorry guys, but I think it's going to be time.

Weren't you the one that "just lost it", and wrecked an S2K you were driving for work? And your telling me I don't know how to use a clutch? I was not being literal. It was a way of explaining the way the car feels. I won't even comment on your other remarks. Brandon
