    Kelsey Hayes Brake Caliper Washers

I was able to find the correct copper washers at my local O'rielys in the help section. I was expecting to need some type of crush washer but apparrently just a plain copper washer is enough to make a good seal.

    Kelsey Hayes Brake Caliper Washers

For you guys with brake experience, I'm finally ditchig the 50 year old drum brakes for some disks using the 4 piston Kelsey Hayes style calipers. The only thing I seem to be missing is the seal or crush washer that is installed between the caliper and flexible brake line. Anyone know where I...

    Biggest Tires For 68 Coupe?

You can't really go 8 inch wide up front on a 15 inch wheel w/o rubbing. You'd be limited to I believe a 4.5inch backspace and you would rub the fender lip. If you tried more backspace you'd hit the upper ball joint. On a 15 inch rim, I would recommend a 7 inch wheel. You could obviously go...

    T5 Crossmember For 68?

You can also use a stock automatic crossmember. The holes for the mount need to be redrilled and it may need to be massaged with a hammer. I've had mine that way for years. If you're on a budget, that's the way to go.

Battery in the trunk, need cable routing ideas.

I have mine going from the cut-off switch up through the quarter panel drain. It runs inside the quarter panel and through the door sill plate. It exits is the car behind the kick panel and through a small hole in the floor right above the inner frame rail. It comes up along side the shock tower...

    Will they fit???

They should work out perfectly. I have the same setup on my 68. IMO, a 7 inch wheel with a 4.25 b/s is a perfect fit.

    AOD effect

You might try a higher stall converter as well, that should give you a little more breathing room on the highway. It's more doable with an automatic vs. a manual trans.

    AOD effect

I can tell you from experience that a .67 o/d with 2.79 gears doesn't work very well unless you prefer driving at about 75mph on the freeway. Back when I first swapped a T5 in my car I had the stock .68 o/d with the stock 2.79 gears. Freeway cruising was nice as long as I didn't need to slow...

    Wiper Delete

something like this: Google Image Result for http://www.atomicperformance.com/ProductImages/uprproducts/UPR-1032.jpg I don't think it looks half-assed and they could be painted the color of the car so they don't stick out. I just need to find something that will fit my car. Again, I do not...

    Wiper Delete

As far as I know, not having wipers in my state (az) is not illegal. My FF cobra did not have wipers and passed inspection. I live in the desert and do not drive in the rain. Does anyone know if the foxbody wipers have the same size and spline configuration?

    Wiper Delete

I want to ditch my wipers as I don't use them and I think my car will look better without them. However, i would like to leave the mechanism under the dash in place. Where can I find some appropriately splined caps to replace my wiper arms? This is for a 68 mustang, all I can find is stuff for...

Optimal Front Tire size 67-68 mustang w/15x7 wheel

I went ahead and bought some 215/60's. Tirerack didn't carry the tire I wanted in a 225. I know how difficult it can be with the P/S; at one time I had 245s on the front, 17 inch wheels and parking lots were a pita. But I will trade that anyday over my current wheel/tire combo. 165/80/15s on 3.5...

Optimal Front Tire size 67-68 mustang w/15x7 wheel

They are a 4.25 backspace wheel. I was leaning toward the 215/65s since they are 26" diameter but I am just trying to guage how that looks compared to the 215 or 225/60. My guess is there is probably not much of a noticeable difference at all.

    Alum Radiator in 67 w/5.0 What's good?

Here's a pick of a Northern Radiator I bought off summit in my 68. It measures ~27" inches wide and 19" tall and fits nicely between the frame rails. <a href="http://s15.photobucket.com/albums/a375/mikemustang289/?action=view&current=IMG_0027.jpg" target="_blank"><img...

Optimal Front Tire size 67-68 mustang w/15x7 wheel

I'm looking to put a set of 15x7 wheels on the front of my 68' but I'm unsure which size tire would be best. I was looking at 215/60-15, 215/65-15, 235/60-15, and 225/60-15 What do you think looks best? My rear tires are 26 inches in diameter.

Anyone have a Steering Box Laying around???

So did you have to do the same mod? What is involved? Just cutting the end of the shaft and welding the U-joint in place? it sounds pretty simple. I will give them a call.

Anyone have a Steering Box Laying around???

The headers I plan to run in my 68 mustang will interfere with the stock type Ragjoint. In order to get them to fit I need to do this http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a375/mikemustang289/steeringcoupling.jpg I can buy the coupling here...

Who Runs 6 Cyl Springs 67/68 mustang???

I'm looking for a set and my search results show that the coil springs used in early 6cyl mustangs for 67/68 are the same as the 289. The application for the springs says they are for both 6 cylinder and V8 so I am assuming there is no difference from the factory...

    Ford 351W Vs. Buick 350?

If his buick 350 is mostly stock, it will be a turd....My dad owns a 71 skylark with a buick (not chevy) 350 and I have driven it a lot. First of all, it's a 3600 pound car, through an automatic trans and a pegleg rear with something like 2.56 gears. Sure, if he's built it all up then it...
