To multiply x 2, you would have to be sure that when the needle says 1/2, its really 1/2.
What I do is fill the tank, reset the tripometer and drive till I almost run out of gas...
I did an all-highway trip and got 300 miles on that tank.
Maybe its just me, but those 18's look too big. Sometimes 17" wheels look to small in diameter, but some 18" wheels look too large in diameter. Those wheels look so big that it draws away from the car itself. Tough to find the right wheel combo...:(
Anyone have this combo yet? I know these wheels are fairly new, but I think it might look tight. I have only found them in 18x9's, but with 285's on the rear and 265's in the front, that might be a winning combo...
How are the shifts in a 99+ Automatic? I had to put a TransGo shift kit in my 95 Automatic to even drive the thing. Can I live with the stock shifts in the 99+ Automatics?
How are the 99GT Automotic Transmissions???
How are the 1999 automatic transmissions (ex. 99GT) compared to the other year mustangs? I have had a 95 GT automatic to compare it to. Any improvements? Are the automatic transmissions still dogs?
My multipurpose switch (headlights, directionals, etc) went bad. I know this is not too tough to replace, but my steering column also makes a clicking sound when I wiggle it back and forth. I was told it could be the lower shaft ($300) or a shorter upper shaft ($60).
My thoughts are just...
Thanks for the advice...
On a side note, this forum's email (ex. post notification) does not reach me. I am using Verizon for a cable company. I tried checking the junk email filter and it is off. I wonder why Verizon is bouncing back the StangNet emails???
I have a pretty much stock 95 GT (except for x-pipe, catback, and K&N). My mass air flow sensor just threw a code. I know these get dirty and need cleaning, especially when using the K&N. My question: If I do need to replace it, which one to buy? I suppose it needs to be a 19lbs (stock...
I went with the catted X-pipe at Summit. It fits fine and sounds good. I am using the Dynomax cat-back with aluminum tailpipes. You will need to fabricate a connection for the air tube, or just have someone do it for you after you install the x-pipe.
Thanks for the input. And... it has 95,000, not 98,000, lol.
I have owned this car for a year. I seem to buy cars, fix them up, and lose interest a year later. This cycle has gone on for many moons and there is no hope for me.. :)
From my experience, you need to match up your struts and springs. I had 2" drop springs and stock struts and it was aweful. The tokico Mach1 struts/shocks are a good deal and work well with lowering springs.
Decided to try to sell my Mustang. I didn't know how much to ask, so I did a search of 1995 Mustang GT Convertibles within 100 miles on Autotrader... I came up with three:( That sample was just too small to determine a value. Am I asking too much? Check out the car here...
Bringing this thread back if ya'll don't mind. Does anyone know if the neutral safety switch at autozone for $21 is a bolt on replacement or does it require some finagling? $100 at the dealer, phueey.
I can never find anything at Summit. I get lost in their online catalog. Any chance anyone knows the part# for the KYB quad shock (or better even: the part# and an inexpensive retailer:)?
I was replacing my rear springs and shocks today when I noticed how bad the extra set of shocks were (quad shocks there called?). My car is a 95 Vert and I would guess these quad shocks were original. I had to take one side of the quad shock off to drop the rear end low enough. I have to tell...
What are the part numbers (letter codes) for Mach1 coil springs? It seems they do not make a Mach1 convertible, so the coupe springs will have to do. It will be a little stiffer I was told, but as long as it doesn't bottom out any more I will be happy. BTW, I have a 95' Convertible.
