    Where did everyone go?

I just show up and pirate threads. Nothing else happens here. You don't even need a car to be around these parts. I was considering this as my latest hot rod: It runs on all sorts of fuels, and is somewhat emissions friendly. I am going to get one of those "electric superchargers"...

    Where did everyone go?

I wrecked my GT, so now I am cruising around in a Ranger with a furiously underpowered 4 cyl. I am considering something German, or a early-mid 70's Vette, or even better, resume flying. I could get a nice Culver Cadet or PA-17 or something. Or maybe fix up the house. All I know is that I am...

It doesn't take much to total a Stang w/pics!

A few people have asked me why so expensive, not worth 14k etc., etc. Well, I currently live in Northern VA by Wash DC, and things here are uber expensive. Brand new '06 and '07 GT's Deluxe start at 30K, Shelby's no less then 50k, and Mach 1's in this area are in the 22-25k range. I am going to...

It doesn't take much to total a Stang w/pics!

It was 2002 GT. I owed about 14k on it. I had just bought it. All it had was some Steeda springs. I tried to buy it back, but the insurance said I would have to pay what they payed off. It's NADA/Blue Book value was 14,800 or something like that. It had no miles on it, and was very clean.

It doesn't take much to total a Stang w/pics!

The "pros" at the frame alignment shop tried twice to it back in specs. My uncle fixed an SN95 that was bent on both sides with a come-a-long and a strong steel beam. The costs to fix it were getting to be worth more than the car. Plus all the little things they wrote up. Even if it was...

It doesn't take much to total a Stang w/pics!

I don't feel like writing a book, but my Mustang was written off as total loss in the last part of April. I hit a curb at 35mph swerving to miss a blind old man from Maryland in a four door sedan of some sort. The body shop started writing up all kinds of junk on the car that wasn't even...

Those thinking about doing valve covers--see mine. It is no fun.

I'm thinking about sticking a Kenne Bell or Saleen charger on top. I just don't have the down available to take it to a shop. Unless....I carpool with my girlfriend, do it at her house....hmmm...an idea is formulating.

I also need to add p/s fluid. The brakes I am getting flushed and fluid changed next week.

    Thinking About Buying a Corvette!

Get the Corvette. Trade in on your GT? Jack $hit, and Jack left town. You could probably try and get 20k for your GT. I don't know the market on custom ones. The dealer wouldn't give you anything, just what it's blue book is, if that.

Anyone know where to get valve covers for a 2V GT?

Remember though---Windsor's have 13 and Romeo's have 11. Past early '01 I think they are all Romeo's. Not sure on that, but haven't seen any Windsor built engines in '02's or higher.

    No I didn't just buy it! :D

ShapeShifter----don't take no crap from anybody here. I like your car. In fact I am going to copy a few details off of it. I am not going with Saleens, but the '03 Cobra rear spoiler and Mach 1 spoiler really pull it off. I like that subtle look. My calipers will get painted aluminum or steel...

    99-04 Overhead Storage Thingy

I used to hide money in my coats in winter. I'd forget about it, then next winter I'd be a rich man. Or if I got desperate in the summer, I'd raid my coat closet. I used my overhead thingy once. My cell rang, and vibrated it's way out and scared me to death when it hit the console.

Those thinking about doing valve covers--see mine. It is no fun.

I know. The 2V's are just cluttered up. It doesn't look bad if there is a Kenne Bell sitting on top though. I would have never ever touched them, but I had to because one was cracked and leaking, and the other was leaking as well. None of the bolts on it were even tight. One side was gorilla...

Okay, so these looked beautiful before installation. If you read my posts, you know I was having hell putting these on. It is easily an all day job swapping valve covers. I do not know how a set of those BBK's would even fit on without pulling the engine out. You cam swappers can probably...

So I've heard 4.10's with an automatic, 3.73 with manual but why?

Don't listen to these guys. Call up your gear supplier, and tell them you want 4.56's. That solves that.

    General Oil Thread

I use Mobil One 5w30 with a Mobil One filter. I have thrown a small can of Restore in before for the hell of it. Sometimes I put a little Marvel Mystery Oil in gas. If all else fails on oil, I'll buy the WalMart Super Tech full synthetic stuff. I had a car with 100,000+ miles, and it ran great...

Anyone know where to get valve covers for a 2V GT?

I went through this. eBay is the only place to look. Ford wants 120 a piece for stock ones. I got a set of covers off a Crown Vic. Majority of all Crown Vics have the left side oil fill so sought after by Bullitt intake swappers and some s/c set ups. I paid $70 for both. One of my stock plastic...

Ok.....crazy question about import muffler placement....

That whole ricer fad is still alive? I thought it started to die out? Who knows or who cares. I don't understand these kids these days.

2008 GT500KR... another limited edition none of us can afford

You know I am shocked by the prices around D.C., especially Loudoun County, VA. I went to the dealer to look at a nice '05 GT that was torch red. It had 22k miles on it, and they wouldn't budge from 24,900. The new '07 GT Premiums on the lot started at 30,585. One at that price. The rest were...
