Drivetrain Need Help Replacing Speed Sensor

I have the right part and I know where it goes, the old one came out pretty easily. I swapped the gear to the new one and I can get it seated perfectly with the cable out, but when I try to put the cable in, the sensor won't sit flush in the transmission. It's like the cable isn't flexible...

Coupes With Different Wheels.. Pics Please

I saw they had them for 4 lug but I'm still thinking I'll go 5 lug at some point for some beefy 4 wheel discs.

    Could Use Some Help/advice

The O2 sensors provide a closed loop feedback system right? Taking them out runs an open loop? What changes does the EEC make when the O2s are out of the equation?

Need help planning my engine build

Okay I've been rolling the numbers around in my head. Let me throw this question out there. Could I do a 300hp stock-blocked 306 build for much less? Again, re-using the intake if possible and going with aftermarket aluminum heads?

Need help planning my engine build

I agree the little parts can kick your butt budget-wise so that's why I posted here - so I don't forget anything! Reusing the stock block makes sense to save some money so I'll look at some stroker kits. Any recommendations for an intake that will better match my goals? So far I've only seen...

Need help planning my engine build

Life's been keeping me away from Stangin' but I'm back and trying to get my car built for the summer. A little background: 93LX 5.0, 3rd owner, first owner had a Vortech on the car at some point, about 90k on the clock, engine noise, possibly a spun bearing. If I'm going to pay someone to...

    Insulating Cold Air intakes?

Wrapping the CAI may keep the piping from heating up but I don't think the air is in the pipe long enough to either gain or lose heat from the piping so I wouldn't bother. With a substantially longer pipe maybe, but not for the average CAI.

    Another opinions on wheels thread....

I love the 10th Anniv. wheels. I am going to pick some up when I do my 5 lug conversion.

Looked at it in the garage and did nothing. Needs a battery, oh and a new engine so I haven't touched it.

    Need suggestions

I think 1500 is fair considering the shape the car is in, and the fact that it's not currently driveable.

Spark plug threads/collar covered in oil, but not electrode

My VCs were leaking and I had a few plugs with oil on the collars. You should be able to tell where the oil has run down the head though. So if there's no evidence of the oil dripping down to the plugs, maybe take a look elsewhere?

How do these oil pressures look?

That was my original thought but I had the valves adjusted and I still get the noise. Everything seems intact when I pull the covers too.

How do these oil pressures look?

Shop said the noise I'm hearing (only at 1500rpm) could be a spun bearing so I changed the oil to a thicker weight. Ambient temp: 55-59 deg F Oil: Pennzoil 10W40 conventional, just changed on Saturday. Cold Idle: 850rpm Fuel Pressure at cold idle: 38psi Oil pressure at cold idle: 55...

Help with oil pressure sending unit

I would have used an open end wrench but I didn't feel like I had enough room to maneuver it under there. I'll give it a shot when I install the new one.
