    Valve Train Noise, Help....

Ok, I just had my motor rebuilt, I have stock cams. When I start it up the valve train sounds like a singer sewing machine for 10 or 15 minutes. After you drive it around some the noise reduces, not as loud when the motor is warm up. What could be wrong? I'm also down on power so I'm checking...

Raised CR from 9.4 to 10.6

What does 1.0 bump in compression net in HP & TQ? Is there a general rule of thump. Also I was talking to a guy that said it will impact the TQ numbers more then HP, is this right? Kurt

wana make alot of power with my winsor

I'm doing the same, keeping the stock crank and rods but buy KB Hyper Pistons. I'm shooting for 10.5 to 1 CR with iron heads. For street duty (mine a convertible) I'm going with a hyd cam & lifter, solids scare me a little but seem to make more power. Does anyone besides Ford make the 351...

What kind of Head is this?

I just found out the other head has this casting # D3UE-AA on it, what the heck ups with this? Two different casting number heads on a motor?

What kind of Head is this?

they are D2OE 302 heads. 1972 year motor is what they came off of. The chamber is 58cc with 1.74 valves. Are these heads worth rebuilding for a budget motor? I know they are not like aluminum heads but can they flow with a port job?

What kind of Head is this?

A guy gave me heads for free but they are off a marine motor. They are cast iron heads and the heads are stamped Ford, 302 and a casting number. It was dark when I got them but I looked real fast and saw a D2--.... I'm thinking it a 1972 302 head but I'm not sure. The weird thing is the guy...

    351W Questions

I'm just trying to weight out the two to see if it would be worth converting to roller or staying hyd lifters. The convertible mainly for summer cruises and car shows, my 02 GT is for the track lol. I just what a solid running motor with some NA power. Yes I could stroke it but I don't what...

    351W Questions

will solid lifters be to much for a street car? Even with solid lifter I still could use roller rockers correct? That will save me some cash in machining and buying $400 roller lifters lol What pistons should I go with using the stock rods? Kurt

    351W Questions

so the cam bearings are the same for a roller cam and non roller cam? I'm just building a mild 351W motor, compression around 10.5, a good cam, and a carb setup. It is going into a convertible so no racing for it lol.

    351W Questions

ok I have a non-roller 351W motor that came out of a 1991 F150. I'm going to rebuild it but have a few questions. 1) is it worth having the block machined for roller cam & lifters since it is not a roller block? 2) How much can I bore the block out before it becomes to dangerous? I have...

PI 3600rpm Stall Converter, First Impressions.....

my car has a 3600rpm but you can only foot brake it up to 2200rpm before tires spin at the starting line. Also with ET Streets I don't exspect to much wheel spin if any at all. I'll never do that on street tires, just wasted rubber lol

    picture of 98 piston

does anyone have a pic of the top of a 98 piston either out of motor or in the block still? Everyone saying they are less dished then the 02 piston but tech data saying different. Thanks Kurt

PI 3600rpm Stall Converter, First Impressions.....

hardcore or just stupid lol My gear install was delayed so the 3.73 have to stay in until my installer can free up. blown00gtauto, I'm running NA so I figured 4.10 would not be enough and 4.30 would be right for track and street. Also how are you launching with your converter?

    98 Pistons Question

PI 3600rpm Stall Converter, First Impressions.....

hey it is low, I was having lock up issues in the tune. It would lock/unlock as I was going down the track. It would sound like I had a 7spd tranny lol. Plus the Nittos DR Sucked!!! I could not leave at idle, if I did the 60ft would be 2.1. So I foot braked up to 2400rpm and left there, 60ft was...
