    Magnacharger Install....

Here is the latest on the install. The toughest part was removing a steel line from the coolant crossover tube and drifting in a brass plug. Other than that, it was just following the directions. I'm biased, but I think it looks awsome on the car.... More to follow...

    Late Christmas = Long Weekend

It was a one day sale....$4499.00. That was the lowest I've ever seen the intercooled kit and it was from a good company. Stillen.

    Late Christmas = Long Weekend

I was cruising the forums on the day Stillen had their Magnacharger sale last month (the 28th I think) and finally talked myself (i mean the wife) into the purchase of this thing. The instruction manual looks great and the best thing in the world of shipping is expanding foam. Stillen has been...

Aftermarket Head Unit and the Shaker 1000

Sorry...been out of town. One great feature of the device is the ability to display fore / aft and side / side g forces. The unit has accelerometers that let it track g's as well as a center speedometer. Here are the pics of the install. See if you can guess the movie...

Aftermarket Head Unit and the Shaker 1000

Just finished swapping out the Shaker 1000 for a Pioneer AVIC - Z1. It's funny, the local installers would not even discuss keeping the Ford amps/subs. They all wanted to "bypass" everything. I ordered the wiring harness from Crutchfield and the Pioneer unit from SonicElectronix. The only...

    Are your gauges noisy?

    IUP as well....

    Are your gauges noisy?

Mine too. Same thing. Sounds like something spooling down to a stop a few seconds after I turn the car off. Never really worried about the noise. Just some personality showing in the car. (I would get worried now if I stopped hearing it...) TicketMeRed05GT

Accurate Curb Weight of Mustang GT?

On the scales: 3580lbs with 3/4 tank of gas, M/T, Shaker 1000, Side Air Bags....not sure what other options would add any appreciable weight. TicketMeRed05GT

sorry if already addressed, but anyone with sudden power loss?

My first GT (the one Ford bought back) did the same thing a few times. I would be pushing the 3 - 5 k rpm range and it would (just for a second) fall on its face like it stopped running. I would let up a little and it would take off again. I marked it up to bad gas? Could be the mission...

    what a piece of junk

I just gotta chime in....I am getting my "vanity" plates as we speak for my GT. They will say "SECNDGT". My first one died with about 900 miles on it. (Last November) What a sick feeling. Stuck at a convenience mart dead; with people still coming up to the car going WOW. I just posted today...

Engine Trouble Light On After Fuel Gauge Failure

This morning 3100 miles into my new GT the fuel gauge went to empty (1/2 tank of gas) and the diagnostic indicator stated DTE Error. Great. After a shutdown of the engine and restart the gauge went back to correct indication with no errors on the panel. After work on the way home the gauge...

    AMSOIL Motor Oil Service Interval?

I have a friend that posted the same question on the Vette forums (cough) and they provided a link to an article that (to me) does a tremendous job tracking the Amsoil product and Mobil 1. All I can say is read the write up for both and decide for yourself. The biggest drawback on either was...

    AMSOIL Motor Oil Service Interval?

Patience. I guess 30 or so people interested in the AMSOIL product might not hit one with any experience. True statement. I'll tell you this; not changing my oil but once every 35k gets my attention. I'll keep waiting. Thanks for the comment. Any is better than none. TicketMeRed

    AMSOIL Motor Oil Service Interval?

It's funny to me that we would have 19 posted replies concerning the vapor trap removal....for what .01 hp diff if that? Seems silly. The AMSOIL claim is 35K oil changes using their oil. That is something worth looking into. I find it hard to believe, therefore I am soliciting any...

    AMSOIL Motor Oil Service Interval?

I have been fairly religious on my vehicles about following the recommended service schedules. I had some time before my Mustang needs its first oil change and decided to do some research. From the AMSOIL website: **************************************** SERVICE LIFE In personal cars...
