    Quick Brake Question

Nah, I'm not going to do a brake flush, I'll just compress the piston with the master cylinder cap off & see how the pedal feels. If it feels way too squishy, then I'll have to bleed them, if not, then I'll just live with it. Thanks for the replies though, I appreciate it!:nice:

    Quick Brake Question

Hey Everybody, I have to admit that it has been a while since I've been on here...my stang has been running fine, and I haven't done anything to it in a while. Well I'm coming up on a week-off of work, and decided that it's time for the brakes to be changed. The pads are cake, and I am not...

    What are pulley's for?

Blackfang: I wasn't saying that the only damage being done by pullies were caused by incorrect installation, and I certainly wasn't saying that they were "wrong". I was just trying to explain to the typical Mustang owner, with the usual list of bolt-on's, the pro's/con's of these pullies...

    Help me decide

Personally, I prefer the stock FORD look over anything else. If I were you I would do whatever you really want. Who cares if other people think it is a clone. Personally, if I had the same choices for my Stang, I would go all one way, or not all...either everything Cobra, or everything Roush...

    What are pulley's for?

The underdrive pullies relieve tension on the normal belt/pully system, allowing the engine to spin the pullies with less effort, therefore releasing roughly 5-10 hp. Modified Mustang pulled out 12hp from a 99 Cobra. The pullies are basically a direct bolt-in, though special tools are required...

    brakes question

I know that everyone suggests to bleed the brakes after changing the pads. Also, I hear that bleeding the master cylinder is a good way to go as well. However, I'm not sure if the "squeaking" noise could be fixed my bleeding the brakes. It sounds like something mechanical. However, I know that...

    How to install Headilghts (bulbs)??

Hey everyone, So I got a visit from a guy in brown yesterday. He brought me my smoked headlighs which I recently purchased. My 02 GT came w/ the all clear headlights when I bought it (which are for sale now, PM me if interested), but I really prefer the look of the smoked headlights...

    New Shifter Question

I've had my MGW for quite a couple of months now and it still feels "notchy". I think it is just the way our tranny is, and there is nothing you can do about it. I ended up going with Mobil 1 for new tranny fluid, but to be perfectly honest, didn't notice too much difference. (it certainly...

Anyone here with lowering springs.....shoot some info at me....

I recently installed my pro-kit as well, but I can't say I have had any issues with scraping though. Anyways, I decided not to go with any C/C plates, but did get an alignment done at a local shop. The alignment isn't too bad, but the front wheels still camber some. There's no horrible tire...

    Looking for advice

The rear gears adjust the acceleration of the car. The factory gear is a 3.27Switching to a 3.73 or a 4.10 would make your car accelerate faster. It is a really good mod for daily driving, because of how much quicker your car accelerates. As for intakes, I really haven't heard too much debate...

Best midpipe for Borla Stinger on '02 GT

I also have the Borla catback, and have been contemplating on which mid-pipe to go with. I really like the deep-rumbly sound of the H-pipe, so I decided to stick with that. I am told that the MRT H is the best available for our cars, so that's what I am going with. Good luck!!:nice:

losing interest in the GT: am i missing something?

Have you considered an 03-04 Cobra?? Those are my dream cars. The GT is a very good starting point for most Stang owners, but eventually we all must move on. I would get an 03-04 Cobra, do some modifications..get the power somewhere around 500-550 and call it good!! Then you could waive...

    Parts from EBAY

yeah, ebay is awesome!! I usually just narrow it down to the most legit sellers. I read a couple pages of their feedback to see what other people are saying. Also, I try and find some negative feedback, if they have any, and see why it was left. Just do some research before you buy, and you...

Couple of ??? about wheel/tire size!!

I had the same debate between 17's and 18's. Unfortunately, for the wheels that I want, if I get 18's, then it's only 18x9's (no 18x10's or 18x10.5's). I really want the 10.5" wide wheel so I can go with 315's, plus the 10.5's really fill up the fender-well. I've seen people with 9" wides get...

Removing rear spolier..... Filling in holes

Yeah, I think the blacked-out spoilers look really good. However, if you have to remove it, I'd deffinately fill in the holes properly, or somehow acquire a wingless trunk lid. The plugs that some people use DO look like crap:notnice: Also, what is the difference between stock GT side scoops...

    mgw shifter question

If the shift stops are improperly installed, then it doesn't matter if you're a "gear banger"...you could still do damage. I believe that the T-45 doesn't have internal stops...but I might be wrong. If they do have the internal stops, then don't use the ones on the MGW; if they don't have the...

I hope you guys are right.

+1...I am one more very satisfied MGW owner. Customer service was great, install was a breeze and the 2nd-3rd shift is AWESOME!!:nice:

    Opening the hoodscoop...

If you really want a functional hood scoop, you should do the shaker install. It's original for the GT's and looks cool!!:nice: A customized GT hood scoop would look the same, but could even cause damage. I've heard of the whole scoop blowing off due to too much air flow.
