    MSN has a list of the 10 best Mustangs. The 1989 Lx 5.0 is listed. I also noticed the Old Car Value guide gives more value to this model then the similar models in that era. What is so special about this car. I have a 89 vert. George

    How old were you when you got your first stang?

    I was 40 in 1974. The gas shortage was in full swing. $1.00 a gal. Unheard of. I bought a new Stang. 4 cyl. 4 speed with air. What a piece of junk. My best Ford was a 53 convert. Flathead V-8 & 3 speed. Great car.

    Does any one know where I can get the weatherstrip that goes across the top & sides of the windshield on the edge of the moldings. 1989 convert. I have tried the dealer, several Mustangs parts specialties, & Steele Rubber. No one seems to have it or they don,t want to mess with it. Any help...

    Fuel pump

    My fuel pump on 89 convertble makes kind of loud (to me) hum when I turn on the key. Is this normal or is it in need of replaceing? It,s got about 120,000 miles on it.

    electrical help needed please!!!!

    The 4-way switch may be bad. I had no turn signals & started to trace it down. The scematic showed that the 4 ways cut off the regular switch when applied. As soon as I touch the 4-way switch they started working again.

    1989 vert. with 5 speed. I get 22 mpg combination freeway & city driving. That,s about the same as my Buick Regal which I havn,t hardly driven since I got the Stang.

    Have you checked the fuses. I think they are on the same fuse.
