    stupid question about emissions

Looks like he's in PA which is trying to pass a law to make aftermarket exhaust illegal. You figure from there what they'll do with his emissions inspection! Oh, boy!

    67 EFI conversion... no fire

The system will always spark once when you turn it on or off. Check the Hall efffect vane and trigger coil inside the dist. and for the little expense, replace the TFI. They go bad faster than candy melts in the sun.

    Question on '66 Stang???

Itwill bolt up, but keep the flywheel and front damper for engine balance. I think it was 79 when they changed it.

    compression union

As a motor vehicle inspector, if I saw a compression fitting on a brake line, I'd fail it for sure! Stop and figure the pressure applied inside that line. If the fitting is not properly tightend ( and sometimes even if it is) the pressure can blow that brass right apart. No. Unsafe at any speed...

    A General Brake Question.......

I'm still thinking the rod length from the pedal to the booster is too long. Did you compare them when you swapped? Is the booster depth and diameter the same as what you replaced? Didn't the Granada have the small diameter booster and the Cougar the large diameter? Sorry for the questions but...

    A General Brake Question.......

One of your problems is that you've put 16" wheels on a brake system designed for 14" wheels. If you don't think it makes any difference, swap 14's on to it and see. Also, I see you have Granada brakes. Did that include the M/Cyl? Check your pushrod length from the pedal to the booster...

oil pump is dead, need help!!

Listen to Stinger! If not gasket cork, then posibly pieces of valve seals. In any case, The pickup being clogged is the most likely cause of oil pressure drop as you describe it. You do not have to fully remove the oil pan to replace or remove, clean and replace the pickup tube. In an emergency...

    1993 2.3L Mustang Dead, Help

If the timing belt gets oil, grease or antifreeze on it, usually it's not long before its teeth start falling off. I had it happen a few times. The belt is not that difficult to replace. I did one in a Sears parking lot at 11 pm with the only tools I had purchased from Sears that night.

    200 I6 Carb ?

I found too, that some of the early econolines had a larger bore Autolite installed. I think I have one that I used for a 200 in my garage. I'll check it out and get back to you with the specifics. I remember it gave a bit more hp to my 200.

    Resurface flywheel absolutly necessary?

I had a similar theory, but always wound up regreting not doing the flywheel. Have it resurfaced. The cost will more than be made up by the aggravation and frustration you won't experience.

Crown Vic chassis same as stange basically???

Don't get too carried away with all the suggestions! Remember, you''re still SD unless you convert. I didn't need to change anything radical on my swap, so I know it will handle that. You'll have to investigate the tranny when you go to the 4.10s as this was not a stock gear on this car...

    A/C question

Good thoughts there glowstang93. I agree that's a distinct possibility. I too have a Reef Blue 93 LX. It's an automatic coupe, but my computer will bring the idle back to the proper rpm under load. I'll have to check on the size of the al. when I get home.
