FoMoCo suing companies using "Mustang" in their names???

Yeah I see that now, thanks Cannoball888. It was the first I had heard of it, and it really pissed me off. Another nail in the coffin of me buying another Ford ever again.

FoMoCo suing companies using "Mustang" in their names???

So I got the latest newsletter/magazine thing from Mustangs Plus on Saturday and there is an article about how Ford has sicked the lawyers on them and is making them change their name "or else". Has anyone else heard about this? I having been trying to find info on the web, but haven't found...

289 swapping manifolds to headers - new H pipe?

I wouldnt think the new header collectors would line up with the old y pipe. Just drive it around with no exhaust, but remember to take some ear plugs and stay away from the police, they tend to frown on that. I have always heard that running an engine with straight headers is a bad idea...

    P/S lines hitting headers

Yup. Been there done that. I had to have the bracket welded on to the frame to get it driveable again. Would have much rather had the framerail repaired, but couldn't afford it at the time. I had a custom pressure line made and then ran them both under the engine so that they stay out of...

    Transmission kickdown?

Exactly. I was just sitting here trying to figure out how someone wouldn't notice they were pinching the line. You'd think the whole "Gee this is hard to tighten" part would have been a clue. Good thing you caught it.

    Transmission kickdown?

That is one of the funniest pics I have ever seen.

Brake pedal all the way down?

If it went empty you should probably rebleed them. At least that circuit anyway. My 68 had a pedal feel like that since from the time we bought it (in '86) until two months ago, when I put discs on. :)

Pics of Mustangs Plus Granada brake lines installed?

Hey all, I am having a heck of a time figuring out how these are supposed to work, and I know someone out there has used them. The two lines say "right" and "left", not drivers/passengers which would seem way more logical to me. Also the instructions say: "Loop the brake line around the...

    Front disc Brake conversion...seeking information

Search the forum. There are literally dozens of threads about the dozen or more different options. From caliper brackets, to the granada swap, to kits from Stainless Steel Brakes. For example, I am doing a granada swap right now on a 68 coupe. I bought spindles with all the hardware, even...

Front power disc brakes conversion kit recommendations

I would recommend searching the forum. There are probably hundreds of threads with discussions of various options.

Why I hate coil spring compressors...

I got it out finally, with only the outside compressors on. It turns out that was the problem. The bolt head was sticking up above the spring and hitting the sheetmetal, which wouldn't allow it to come out. I ended up taking the internal compressor out, and smacking the spring with a...

Why I hate coil spring compressors...

It looks like it is hitting, but it actually has about 0.5" to go. I read about this issue in another thread, so I used a 3/4"x3.5" piece of galvanized pipe to take up some room. You can see it in picture two if you look close. Thanks for the advice all, hopefully if I still have my fingers...

Why I hate coil spring compressors...

This is sorta long, but bear with me: So I am getting back to Granada swap project on my 68 coupe that I started a month or two ago. I finally decided to put in some 620s springs just to hopefully level it out, and this would be a good time to do it seeing as how most of the front end needs...

HELP! I am replacing my Front Suspension today

Yeah, your next question is about how bad that pickle fork will tear up anything it touches. Throw that thing away, get a big hammer, then read this: http://www.mustangsplus.com/tech/shockandfall/shockfall1.htm

    Power Steering

Two major locations of leaks (besides the pump) are at the control valve and the ram. Both are rebuildable, however extreme caution has to used while removing the control valve. Do not use a pickle fork on the stud, it will tear apart the sleeve inside and complicate things immensely. If...

    Questions about the "Shebly Drop"

Yeah I saw the reusing of the drum spindles thing for the first time today. I bought a full granada front end for less than 200 a couple of months ago, and I finally got started on it a week ago. I'll look into it though.

    Questions about the "Shebly Drop"

Questions about the "Shelby Drop" I am currently embarking on a disc brake conversion on my 68, and I ran across the shelby drop in my search for resources. A couple of questions for anyone who has done this: Does it create any structural issues (extra holes where they shouldn't be)? Can...
