    67 bumpers. Original Vs Aftermarket

Aftermarket are slightly thinner metal possibly with no or minimum copper layer. Rechromed OE, with a thicker layer of copper will last longer and adding more nickel improves shine. But must have no rust holes, bends etc otherwise chromeplating cost will jump to heaven

    Clutch Cable

the cable was off 1997 v6 mustang. the cable is too long to go behind the oil filter, but it is a tight fit+bending when placed in front of oil filter. I would like to see how possibly can you modify headers if you have one or two tubings in the way, without completely relocating the output...

    Clutch Cable

My setup with 1997 OE cable did not work and made me to trash it and go with hydraulic clutch. The cable will interfere with headers/exhaust pipe, and there is just too tight and HOT spot causing cable to melt. There is also steering box which limits pushing the exhaust pipe further to the...

    Refurbrishing window regulator on 67

the spring looks like new, but simply creates too high friction in one direction. maybe it is due to lubrication. I used black suspension grease.

    Refurbrishing window regulator on 67

When trying to fix the driver side window regulator (failed to close) it turned out a small part needs to be replaced as shown on the photo. I could not find any store that carries it. I don't want whole reproduction regulator. Do you guys have any advice where this can be bought? This is...

    holley: tuning the idle

I am trying to tune idle on 600 cfm mechanical 4150 pumper. Can someone advise how to properly set it? Especially, what to do with the curb idle screw? This screw moves the throttle plates while throttle pedal being depressed. Should I leave the throttle plates completely closed (the screw all...

    3-pt seat belts for 67

Maybe I am wrong but there ain't any factory mounting point on 67 under the headliner. I read somewhere that 68 year is the first with such point, as well as additional safety improvements e.g. collapsible steering wheel. In addition, belt assembly would be quite in the way for passengers...

    3-pt seat belts for 67

nice looking, but I can't imagine having those in anything classic. even if, probably underseat floor would have to go and stronger floor would be needed too to hold the weight

    3-pt seat belts for 67

This is the first prototype (let's call it). Those belts come from mid 80s toyota. Length is OK, but it has some weird tensioner that I have to work on. There is a ball that needs to be perfectly seated otherwise the belt is locked. The structure seems to me pretty solid and ios almost invisible...

    3-pt seat belts for 67

I am looking for some better way to install 3 point seatbelts than mounting them near the door e.g. as shown at Front & Rear Shoulder Belts. I would hate to drill, mess with the side panel and reinforce the area for upper bracket. Also, 67 does not have factory mounting at the roof to place the...

    Thoughts On Air Filter Size

Remember that 14" filter will not work with large distributor cap e.g. MSD on early sbf (289/302). You would need to bend+chop the body to gain about 1"

markVIII radiator and fan in classic

The radiator is shown below. Where would you connect the hose coming from the red-circled area? There is a valve inside the radiator that opens at high temp, so does additional pressure tank with cap make any good to the cooling system except taking space in engine bay (well that's not good)?

markVIII radiator and fan in classic

I have markVIII radiator+fan assembly installed in 67 (still tuning it). It seems to me that this radiator, instead of an expansion tank and cap, has a build-in valve that opens at critical coolant temperature, or PSI, and coolant starts to flow to overflow tank. Can someone advise whether...
