My experience with front disc brake conversion (discbrakeswap.com)

It is interesting that CSRP managed to fit the PBRs to 1.5 o'clock position with stock spindle and 12" rotor.

    Vibration At Low Speed/neutral

It was trans mount causing all this (motor mounts are <1000 km new by the way)

Buying Mustang Parts Online: International Customers

"you're not going to find anything that we can ship out of catalog for $5-10 internationally." This is exactly what I am saying, doesn't matter if is is $3 or $100 radiator cap, you or other stores (except some ebay stores) simply are not willing to ship small orders at the best possible rate...

Buying Mustang Parts Online: International Customers

CJ Pony... sorry but I do not consider FEDEX, UPS or DHL (?) as a meaningful shipping options because of their overseas rates, which are always higher than USPS Priority mail. All priority mail + courier parcels are held by customs, at least in the EU. CJ Pony, as most of mustang stores have...

    Vibration At Low Speed/neutral

The wheel actually wavered from side to side, even dashpad was shaking a little. It turned out that new PU transmission mount, was causing all this! It was stiffer and wider than OE ford rubber mount. It is beyond my imagination how could change in transmission mount have such big impact on the...

Buying Mustang Parts Online: International Customers

All the above stores ship only priority or express mail that start at some 40 euros + 99% being held by customs (+1 week). I think there is no mustang store that ships air mail 10-15 eur for a small package that passes customs with no delay. Even this web site is poor source (6 classifieds?)

    Vibration At Low Speed/neutral

I made several changes to the suspension and since the completion a vibration is felt at steering wheel, especially when being in 1-3rd gear, or neutral - the wheel visibly shakes (in 4th gear stops shaking) The changes were: new lower control arms (moog k3601), low profile pirelli 225/45/17...

    Will These Wheels Fit?

tires look OK to me (i.e. won't hit the fender lip) rims, it is hard to tell without measuring (there is interferrence with upper A arm)

    J-car Rack And Pump

Hi, which pump is it best to use with j-car rack? Should stock ford pump work, or GM-style pump e.g. saginaw pump is better? Which one produces better pressures+flow the rack was designed for? I saw several kits supply their own pump, is there a specific reason these kits are not designed...

67 tie rod end taper size

I found out (in the meanwhile) this should be 7.125°= 1.5" pre 12" 7° may work though special equipment is needed to measure this angle precisely (not only micrometer)

    Wideband Recommendations

AEM has the best buck for the money and is fully funcional. Yet if you want to datalog you need lm2. You don't want to place the o2 sensor too close to the headers (too much heat)

rack and pinion (crossmember steel grade)

This topic was discussed here many times on how to adapt J-car rack to 67 mustangs. IMO the crucial part (re safety) of this conversion is the custom cross-member. I would like to ask on the material (steel grade) that such crossmember should be made of. Is regular low carbon steel (iron) ok...

What puller for tie rod ends?

I got finally the middle top one and after I removed the tie rod end with this puller, I can hardly imagine the hammer would work. it really depends how tight the rod end sits in the spindle. The fork would be IMO very destructive too. I would advise - discontinue hammering if 2-3 strong hits do...

What puller for tie rod ends?

What do you mean "product description"? All of them are ball joints pullers, doesn't say which cars they are good for. I read that article, the joint does not fall off when being hit by 3 lbs hammer, as strong as it leaves trails on the spindle If I had to spend $10-15 for fork or puller I...

What puller for tie rod ends?

Can you please advise what type of pullers shown below is the best suited for tie rod ends removal (for 64.5-69 V8 spindle)?

    improving 67 steering geometry

Good to hear that Placing tie rods paralel with lower arms is OK. Still, what about upper arms, would they make any impact on the steering? For example, have a look at this bumpsteer tutorial: http://www.thedirtforum.com/images/bsdrawing.jpg Where is the "instant center" in mustangs suspensions...

    improving 67 steering geometry

There are bumpsteer kits that reduce bumpsteer by positioning outer tie rod ends about 1" under the spindle. Is there another way such as relocating inner tie rod ends? What is the best position they can be relocated, with a custom centerlink of course, or it is best to keep them were they are?

    gas leak / long cranking

fuel leaks back to the fuel tank (not off the engine through carb floats etc - if that happened nobody would ever asked if it is ok!)

    3g alternator install... walk through?

The above wiring scheme seems strange. Why is the sensing wire (yellow) placed behind the fuse? If the megafuse burns, yellow wire will pick 12.x V and provide full load to alternator's field, eventually destroying it - as the alternator's aoutput will be disconnected from the battery!
