Turn Signal Cam - now no blinkers

For 67 I would advise repair cam you have, or buy a replacement switch that cost around $100; many mustang stores carry it. The cam you probably ended up with (cost some $7-10) is a very inaccurate chinese reproduction. Also look at emergency flasher switch through which current goes to turn...

My first time welding and patching...

oh yes don't forget to use CO2 tip too, because all these crappy machines are set for flux core.

Will stock 2005 GT wheels fit on a stock 1967?

Man, is this 4 years old? Do what is written above = 1.5" spacers, no shelby drop, lower profile tires (depending on your springs - you'll hear at first turn at 30mph), 1.25 spacers definitelz won't work

How to remove lugs from front brake drums

Hammer and piece of wood? Possible, IMO unlikely. Bring them to someone witha big press. Drums will likely fall apart.

My first time welding and patching...

add more amps to your machine, clean the welded area entirely! a tiny grain of rust or paint will damage the weld. use only CO2, the weld will be solid metal free of srut. use max amps you can. make precisely cut patches, it is hard to fill 1mm+ gap.

    spraying POR 15

for undercarrieage paint it is best to use a special spray gun e.g. UBS SPRAY GUN Search for other brands too, with POR15 you get little music for the money

    expansion tank in a classic

do you run some of you a capless, thin radiator with pressurized expansion tank in v8/302 c.i.? wondering, what is the minimum volume in the tank above the coolant level to be left for coolant expansion? any tip for its placement? the problem: hoses get too much pressure, all of them, and the...

Rack & Pinion- Power vs. Non

IMO OE power steering is way to go if it is hard to steer. None of r&p kits seems to have as massive steering rods as OE. Regular iron tubing is used, or seamless tubes at best. The alluminium cube between center link rod and rack does not add strength too.

    302 overheats. incorrect water pump?

dude what I am asking is how do you know the one on the pic is reverse (ignore alluminium cover) so if the one on the picture is reverse rotation it should spin clockwise (as you looking at the picture, or looking at it from driver's seat) edit: right?

    302 overheats. incorrect water pump?

Hey, that's just generic pic I was just asking what is the propeller's correct rotation, if it is like circular saw (teeths pointing to the direction of rotation) or opposite

    302 overheats. incorrect water pump?

To fix the engine running to high temperatures I want to verify that I have a correct pump. Is d7te-aa standard or reverse rotation? E.g. on this picture, the propeler should be rotating clockwise or counterclockwise? www.2carpros.com/forum/automotive_pictures/261618_Noname_2216.jpg

    Engine bay and undercarriage painting

POR15 is way overpriced, average quality paint, advertised for home mechanics. Eastwood paints IMO are no different, yet I have not tried them. Eastwood is one store in PA, I doubt they develop any paints, they just place their name on regular alkyde enamels made by duplicolor or other paint...

how to correctly route spark plug cables

Well I did not say I have duraspark II (wide cap) and air cleaner really close to the distrbutor. This means that wire no. 5 is closest to the air cleaner, on the passenger side, and I could not route it nicely around no. 1 wire, wthout making large U bend. There is also vacuum actuator in the...

    POR 15 questions

I then used regular $5 engine paint spray from pep boys, it holds since then. No pre-primer, special rust remover or other pricy substance was needed. I don't like thick layers of paint other than powdercoat, because air-hardened paint will never be as hard as powdercoat. Thick layer of paint...

how to correctly route spark plug cables

I see often pretty engine bays with spark plug cables routed exactly as they supposed to be. There's quite a lot of combinations to figure it out. I have 8 OE Autolite cables in the box of different length let's say 1=shortest, 8=longest. Which cable goes to which cylinder? Firing order...

    POR 15 questions

I am a victim of advertisements - also bought POR15 (over $20 for a tiny can) and painted the engine with it. That paint turned out from silver to light brown just during cam break-in (30 min?) It is very soft, does not adhere to grey cast iron, no different if not worse than regular enamel you...
