    If its not the booster then you might replace the front pads with another softer set. I had a set of performance pads that after the install had the exact same problem, hard brake pedal but no brakes.

    Use a rust converter product. Both Home depot and auto parts stores have it. Its like a primer that you spray on or brush on but it converts the surface rust into an extremely hard surface that takes paint very well. Check it out.

    what street tire to use?

    I have the Nitto Drag radials and am simply amazed by the amount of grip they offer. I've got about 300 rwhp and can easily put it to the ground once they are warm. If the outside temp is 40 or below they are real slick but I've not noticed too many bad manners in the rain. Highly rec!
