1991m Mustang Hatch.

I've got a Alpine H/U, Alpine amp for the Polk components in the front, Polk coaxials in the rear with a Kenwood Sub in the rear.

I added a set of cheap twetters in the dash speaker location to raise the sound stage. They didn't sound great so I bought a set of Blaupunkt 3.5's in the dash.
They sounded better but distorted badly when the volume was high, even after I added bassblockers. So....

I wired the 3.5's to the rear speakers (at the H/U). Now with the proper fading (most towards front), they sound great!! No distortion and are "invisible" as opposed to crowding the components.

Don't know who this might help but it was a cheap way to solve my problem which probably exists in any Mustang with dash speakers.
