    Started the engine rebuild

    Looks like it's coming along really well. My sons are interested in cars because of me, lol, always tinkering with something. my 5 year old loves to pass the tools to me. yeah he's going to be a wrench head just like dad!

    i'm thinking of going with a different cam, the trick flow specs state the intake comes alive in the 2500-7250, so i might just put either my e303 strait up instead of advancing it to give my more top end. or go with a f303 or something along those lines, the heads have gt40 stainles swirl...

    i spoke to Joe DaSilva at DaSilva racing today, he says i'll be fine, but not to advance to cam 4* but 2* and throw a set of 3.55 gears in it and it'll pull good to around 6200 or so. at 4* he said it would kill the top end and it would drop off at roughly 5200 to 5500. so i feel much better...

    Notched my first piston "pics"

    i'd take the guy up on the offer that has the pistons already with valve relieves. i wouldn't run that they way it is, even if it was a lawn mower. do it right the first time, saves having to do it right the second time and alot of grief. just my .02

    LiquidGT-=> they are stated as being 2" taller than stock, i was wondering about a bbk intake but the egr is located under the intake on a bbk ssi intake. i was going to go with a bbk ssi and a 3/4 spacer, but i still don't know if that will be enough, and i don't want to have to spend that much...

    Ok here's a good one, i bought a set of new edlbrock 4260 elite valve covers, and i didn't do my reasearch, apperently they do not fit stock 5.0 efi intake, now what i am asking you guys, is there anyone out there that IS using these with a aftermarket intake that fits? there really nice looking...

    Ok let me see if i have this right, to upgrade your fuel injectors, say to 24# injectors, you just need the maf off the vehicle you are getting the injectors from, or do you also need to upgrade your computer as well? i'm a little confused as to what needs to be done, thanks guys...
