    Gear ratio advice

This sounds like it's bad for the brakes or tranny...or both... restomod - sounds like your stereo isn't turned up enough. I'm pretty sure stereo volume has a direct impact upon engine RPM. :)

    Gear ratio advice

I did forget to mention that I was considering an AOD as the final peice of the project, but that might put the whole thing out of my price range. Sounds like I might opt for the 3.50s. If I have enough money for AOD then I have enough money to change gears again :). This may be stupid...

    Fastest vintage stang?

Ugh...that car is a travesty. I don't know how it can be called a mustang still.

    Gear ratio advice

I'm looking to swap out my rear end gears. I have a 289 and a C4 with about 500 miles since it was rebuilt, and 2.79 gears. The car will be a street cruiser but I definitely want it to have some kick (as in I'm putting in a 4v edelbrock, performer 289 intake, aluminum heads (perhaps GT-40X if...

    Stangnetter in Iraq

I have also been looking into a cam and heads for the somewhat near future of my car. Perhaps someone can answer these basic questions that I have not been able to find in a dozen or so cam articles: What are the advantages of hydraulic over (mechanical?)? How 'bout pros of a roller cam...

    68 wiring diagram

Yes, the diagram is in a file named 68must.zip. It consists of two TIFF files, and the first one looks like the scanner got bumped or something. This file can be found at the link posted by meganjoe. However, there is another file on that site of the console wiring which may suffice, but I...

    68 wiring diagram

Anybody have one scanned or know where to download one online? Yes I know they only cost a few bucks but then I still have to wait for it to be shipped and such and if I don't have to pay for it all the better. I have found one online, but only one of the two pages is readable, which means...

    Trouble starting, '68 302

Yeah the wire coming from ignition to coil shouldn't be 12 volts if everything is as it originally was.

Do you use your classic as your daily driver? Pros and Cons?

Living in utah can be a bitch for a stang owner, because winter sucks to drive them, even when there is no snow (because there is always salt....), and summer is hot as sin. But I did it for about 1.5 years, mainly because it was either that or not drive at all. If you keep both windows down...

    Paint, in OEM color

Now that I have a friend with painting equipment that knows how to paint, a paint job is looking like it's not too far down the line. My question is does anyone know of a good company that can closely match the OEM classic colors? Or can pretty much any place that sells paint match them? It...

Anyone know how easy anyone can get at our engines?

try having a classic mustang. You don't even have to monkey around "inside". Anyways, if you all are so worried about it just get an alarm, since I've seen about 500 alarms go off and not once was it for a theft. Has anyone here actually had anything taken or damaged from under their hood...

Blue Mustang Registry is a reality

How about this: my mustang is red with a good deal of primer beginning to show through on the hood and roof, so I propose we make a GNRMR: gray n' red mustang registry!

Well, since restore means to return to the original condition, then even vacuuming is technically a restoration job :D

    Starting troubles with a '68

hehe...i had taken the battery over to a friends house to charge and then FINALLY thought to open her up and see if she needed topping off.....yep, frozen. I was, however, under the impression that even with a completely dead battery you could still jump a car? --Jason

    Starting troubles with a '68

OK Last spring my mustang started up perfectly fine and ran well. I was out of state during the summer, and it's been at my brother's house, not started since sometime in mid summer. Now it needs to be moved so I go to start her up, and the battery is obviously dead. When I jump the car, all...
