    I think I ruined my motor!

    Wish I knew that before hand. Oh well, I guess I learned the hard way. I'll give an update sometime this weekend when I pull the heads. This might be a good excuse to go to ported heads and forged parts. Maybe I'll invest in dished pistons too.

    Degreeing cams

    Ok, cool. Thanks for the advice. I'm picking up a new copy of MM&FF tonight. I'm taking the heads off this week to inspect the damage. I may be looking for new heads and pistons soon :( At least this will give me an excuse to go ported heads and forged parts.

    Timing chain replacement

    To remove the timing cover you will need to remove the front four oil pan bolts, not the entire oil pan. These connect the timing cover to the oil pan. I did this two days ago on my 96 GT.
