    2003 GT ... NEED SPEED

You're probably going to hear the following just for starters: Gears Underdrive Pulley's Timing Adjuster Upper Intake Plenum/throttle body All of which are worthwhile, in my opinion. As for where to buy your parts, there are a ton of options. I'd recommend picking up a copy of Muscle...

    01 Cobra & 00 GT Fuel Pump/Bucket

Bump.... Anyone have any ideas on this? Thanks.

    Belt Question (U/D Pulleys)

My car had Steeda u/d pullies on it until the motor swap. Anyone know if the stock serpentine belt will still fit with the Steeda W/P & Alternator pulleys and a stock size crank pulley? I'm hoping it won't be too short. Thanks, Jay

    01 Cobra & 00 GT Fuel Pump/Bucket

Were the 01 Cobra Fuel Pump, sender & bucket the same as the 2000 GT? I'm going to replace my Walbro pump w/ an aviator pump and I found a deal on a 01 Cobra fuel pump assembly including the bucket/sender. I was wondering if I installed the Aviator pump in this bucket would it be a direct...

    Gauge Install HELP!!

Do you have a multimeter? I opened up the dash and tapped into 12V on the headlight assembly. I believe there are two positive leads. One for the gauge itself and one for the gauge light. The gauge needs to be attached to a "key on" power source and the gauge light needs to be attached to a...

    Gauge Install HELP!!

Yep, only #60 or #94 - those are the signal wires from the left and right front O2 sensors. Either one will work. They are on the outside - you just need to count the pins so they correspond to the numbers. Good luck with the install - it's really not too hard - you'll get it! :nice: BTW - a...

    Gauge Install HELP!!

#60 & #94 are for the signal. The harness for the PCM has very faint numbers imprinted on it so you can identify the pin #'s. Don't simply go by the color - it's dark under there and in artificial light (flashlight) you could tap into the wrong color wire. Which could equate to bad for the gauge...

    Gauge Install HELP!!

Here is the pinout for the EEC-V. This has proved useful on many occasions. You are looking for pin #60 (GY/LB) or #94( (Y/LB). These are the signal inputs for the front O2 sensors. Hope it helps. Jay EEC V Pinout

MM subframe connectors - powder coated or bare steel?

I thought the powdercoating was a nice option. You still need to grind away the powdercoat where you weld them to the frame. I just used regular black krylon to pain the bare spots. I don't believe you're subjecting them to a great deal of heat. You're really just trying to keep them from...

    Almost Done... Motor Pics

Yep - would be pretty unrealistic to think a 2V could hit high 400 w/o a blower.

    Almost Done... Motor Pics

Thanks! As soon as my finances recover from this project I am looking at the blower - most likely a Novi 2000 (hopefully w/ air to air intercooler). That's the plan. I think she'll hang on the low end with this set-up and once the boost kicks in - wwweeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!! Jay

    Almost Done... Motor Pics

They were already on the car - the whole project came as a surprise so I really didn't want to spend the extra on lt's and a shorty x. I know it would be easier out of the car, but I wanted to drop everything I could into motor work - stuff I absolutely couldn't get to without tearing it apart...

    Almost Done... Motor Pics

Thanks. Too much... I figure I'm going to have around $5,000 into the whole motor. Things start adding up quick - it's absolutely freaking amazing how fast. Jay

    Almost Done... Motor Pics

Sounds good. Out of curiousity, why .030" over? I know that's pretty much the max on the modulars, just wondering. Valve springs are a must with any kind of high lift cam. The comps seem to be the best. Good luck with your build up! Jay

They're all Probe components. My goal is to make somewhere in the high 400's - GT crank should be good to around 500 RWHP. It is also lighter than the cobra crank. Basically, it also came down to finances. This project came on unexpected, so money definitely played a role in the process. We...

    Almost Done... Motor Pics

Guys, I'm pretty excited at this point. Everything is almost coming together. Here are a few pics of the motor before it goes in on Monday/Tuesday. It's been one thing after the other up to this point. The car has not run since May 7th! So, it looks like earlier next week we'll see if she has...

    Cam help

I'm sure a set of blower cams or a custom grind would definitely increase the power level, maybe even beyond what the stock bottom end can handle. You might want to think about saving for a shortblock and doing the cams at the same time. It's a crapshoot, really. Cam install should run you...

Is it possible to get 300hp without boost?

Definitely exhaust. I highly doubt you would get there with the stock exhaust and/or manifolds. Otherwise, right on... :nice: If you haven't already, check out the Northwest forum. Lots of people there that can give you advice on shops. Jay

Is it possible to get 300hp without boost?

No numbers yet - just got the shortblock last Tuesday. I'm hoping everything will be together by the end of this week. I'll break her in over the weekend and then get down to the dyno in a week or two. Bryan didn't do the heads - I got them from Patriot. I'm starting to get extremely anxious...
