    transmission & axle

ok, the T-5 can and will handle more than 300lb ft of torque. my old 92 has the old T-5, before Tremec was making them, and my car has about 400lb ft torque and 525hp with the Nitrous. So I wouldn't worry about the tranny, now the rear end, that is another story. the 7.5 rear will take more...

    finally tried the track

look at it this way, in the 1/8 mile you are in the high 9's, now the older fox body tangs with street tires and factory gearing, only ran low 9's 1/8 mile times, so for a heavy v-6 car with less hp and more weight, these times are all really good, i'd say anything under 16.00 1/4 mile is great...

    Stupid Question, Help!

Ok, now I am a little suspicious. I just read a story of installing long tubes and x-pipe on a fox body in an old 5.0 Mustang magazine I have, and it shows pics. Well, the crossmember on there car in the magazine is just like mine is, small hump on driver's side and large hump on passenger's...

    what length race bullets?

I had the 3" Bullets bolted directly to my headers, loud as hell, sounds real good. Like a 5.0 should sound, don't know what length they were though. I am about to put 2 1/2" Bullets back on it but from the h-pipe, not directly from the header.

    Stupid Question, Help!

Thanks, that's what MAC told me also, I don't know why the idiots that put my tranny back in turned it around. I will have to switch it back, maybe that will solve my header hitting problem. Do you think the air tube will then hit on the smaller hump?

    Stupid Question, Help!

Come on guys, I know some one on here knows the correct way the crossmember goes?

    Stupid Question, Help!

Ok, I have been told different things as to why my headers cause my h-pipe to hit the tranny crossmember. But the main reason I am being told this is because my crossmember is installed wrong. I was told the higher hump, more clearance, should be on the driver's side? And the smaller hump, less...

    Dropping the Front Only????

How about the weight on the front of your car? Have you lightened it up any? How much do you think it dropped?

    Dropping the Front Only????

slow93, did you cut them at all, or just put them in the way they came? I know the weight of the front of the car has something to do with how low it will actually go. My battery is in the trunk, a/c has been deleted, fiberglass hood and aluminum heads, so my car isn't as heavy as factory. Do...

    Dropping the Front Only????

Hey guys, I need help with this. I am going to be dropping the front of my car really soon. There is just too much wheelwell gap for me with the skinnies. It really needs to come down at least 2 inches, I think that would be plenty. The concern is this. I already have Moroso Drag springs in the...

    Mac Long Tube Headers/Problems???

Well I finally got a repsonse from Mac, they said the crossmember should have the larger/taller hump on the driver's side? Mine is on the passenger's side. Plus they sent me a pic of the headers I should have, and mine match those, except for the sides. Mine look opposite of what theirs does. My...

    radio doesn't work

I know you won't believe this but since you have an aftermarket Pioneer radio, believe me it's true. Pioneer and most other radio companies make a built in transformer that shuts the radio completely off if one speaker goes bad, and it don't have to blow either, just have a loose connection...

    Mac Long Tube Headers/Problems???

I know someone here has to be running these things, so I thought I would ask. I have a delima with the Mac 1 5/8" direct fit long tube headers and their 2 1/2" off road h-pipe. For some reason, my driver's side header, after the h-pipe is installed is pulled over toward the center of the car...

    Y303 heads...feedback.

i am running the X heads on my 92, to say they are outdated is wrong, there are just a bunch of other heads out now that flow as good or better, but for the money, the any GT-40 head is good, better than factory any day. i am happy with the X heads, picked up almost 3 tenths in the 1/8 mile with...

Difference Between GT40 and GT40P Heads

the size of the valves has nothing to do with compression ratio, it's the size of the combustion chamber that has something to do with the compression ratio, and also if you mill or deck the heads, thus bringing the mounting surface of the heads closer to the block, this will also raise compression.

take a stock 5.0 with stock cam

ramjetlx, are you on something? nobody has broken into the 10's with a STOCK cam intake and heads, and I think that is safe to say, there is no way for the factory pieces to flow that good, maybe with extensive porting and polishing, but not factory stock, c mon man, don't give this guy false...

take a stock 5.0 with stock cam

do not put an e303 cam in a stock motor, you will regret it. i have it in a decent built motor with no complaints except 2. the idle sucks unless you turn it up some, about 900rpms is what mine is setting on because every time you kick the clutch in, the car would go dead. and if you are running...

Difference Between GT40 and GT40P Heads

85 SS is right, they are a direct bolt up, the exhaust bump is the only difference, they both flow the same, and I am pretty sure they accept the same headers as the regular gt-40 heads. i had a set of the first gt-40 cast iron heads, wish i would have kept them, they are alot better than the...
