    Widest rims I can run?

So if I don't want to modify the fenders or anything, I should run a set of 15x10's in the rear? Sounds good to me....

    Widest rims I can run?

I work at a tire place and I can get tires wicked cheap....50% off all Michelines, Uniroyals, and Pirellis...and 10% over cost on everything else. Plus, I can get rims 10% over wholesale also.. I'm running stock Pony wheels right now, but I want to buy some Weld draglights. What I'm mainly...

    KOEO code 32

Autometer *****? Like a gauge? Hell no. I wouldn't run one of those O2 gauges unless I were running a wideband O2, otherwise, whats the point? And if I were going THAT far, I'd probably run a pair of wideband O2's, to two gauges so I could monitor the left and right cylinder banks...

    KOEO code 32

So what is this mystery code? I used the Autozone scanner to pull it and their database doesnt have Code 32 listed. Yes, I'm sure I've read it right. Read PLENTY of trouble codes before... Can anyone fill me in? Only other codes I'm getting are 11 at KOEO, which is normal....and 41 and...

    Diagnostic codes dont make sense

Thanks for the tips man. Unfortunately, I'm electrically retarded and am terrible with a multimeter...not to mention I lost my probe leads to it so I'm stuck with alligator clips... I've checked for vacuum leaks repeatedly and find none, although my engine only pulls about 12 HG's of vacuum...

    Diagnostic codes dont make sense

I've been getting a Check Engine light on when I'm driving lately. At first, it seemed correlated to me running the car low on gas. However, the other day it did it with a half tank, and the light would not go out any time I put load on the engine. So, I went into Autozone and borrowed their...

    tire fitment question

How did you fit 275's onto a 7 wide wheel? 7 is pretty slim for such a big tire...I can't imagine there being much of a contact patch there.. ?? I know guys running 255's, and the edges of the tires are curled up from being too wide for the rim.

    Help me achieve 300RWHP

Yeah, you're cutting about the same 60's as me. I dunno, I just have this sneaking suspicion that somewhere along the line, you're getting shortchanged a mph or so in the traps. You've got basically what I have, or BETTER than what I have...the only part you're losing out on is the GT40 heads...

    What's wrong with my distributor??

Theres a bunch of ways to find TDC on cyl 1....any common manual, like a Haynes or CHilton's can describe it for you... I prefer to find TDC with the dist. in, cap removed, and with the upper intake and pass. side valvecover off. You can see your intake and exhaust rocker arms that way....so...

    Help me achieve 300RWHP

100 mph is enough to get you into 13's. Although it's quite unlikely on street tires. What's your 60'? I'm running a best of a 13.7 at 103.8 mph....but the pass right before that one, I did 14.1 at 101 mph... (Adjusted shift points and removed dirty air filter to get the extra mph) These are...

    I need a carb

Yep, a 302 is a 5.0. A GM 305 is also a 5.0...... But the traditional Ford 5.0 is the 302. Just laughing to myself that you didn't know that... Do you not work on cars much, or are you just a Chevy guy? ;) And yeah, like 84 said...you dont need to go too big for these motors, especially...

    Help me achieve 300RWHP

Yeah man, just go with the cheap mods then as everyone else said, and see what you cant leach out of it! Lemme ask you this man...that 100 mph pass, was that with the same setup that you dynoed with? If so, you may have just given me new hope. I'm trapping at high 103's right now.. Car...

    Help me achieve 300RWHP

Running 18 to 20 degrees of timing on PUMP GAS with aluminum heads is rubbish. ;) You're gonna need to run either some 100 or 110 octane race fuel to run that much base advance, unless your engine's compression is....nonexistent. ;) 16 degrees is a good number as long as you dont ping. Ive...

    tire fitment question

A 255 50 16 tire WILL fit on a 16x7 rim..but that's about as wide as you wanna go. 245 is actually ideal...at 255, the edges of the tire begin to curl up...so the footprint isn't proper anymore. Quad shocks? I'm not familiar with any Mustangs having 4 shocks in the rear...? But even still...

Synthetic, and why didnt I do it sooner?!

I just converted my car over to Mobil 1 10w30 today, running my trusty FL-1a filter and a pair of magnetic drain plugs... The motor's got maybe 10k on it, not much at all.... I have to say, I'm entirely impressed driving it with the synthetic for the first time. I've never noticed any power...

    EGR DELETE????

I would leave the EGR in, man.. All it does is really help you out, AND the environment too...I see no logical reason to disable it. And on my car...which is also a headed, cammed, mildly modified 5.0.....when I disconnect the EGR or disable it in some way, the car will occasionally backfire...

    Melbourne area stangs

They probably meant a V6 Camaro. Not the quickest booger in the world....prob. right there with the Mitsu. Definitely ask before ya come man....there's all KINDS of car meets around here. You should try to make it down for the Cars For Charity show in August.

    Melbourne area stangs

Don't be fooled...we're infested by a lot of crappy imports. Hondas and the like..hell, an occasional riced out Hyundai. But for every few crappy ricers, there are some good, well-thought out imports with respectable power.. Red GT huh? Sounds like me, but I usually play with em, let them...

    Melbourne area stangs

Announcing it a little early arent ya? ;) Its gonna be a blast though, I can't wait. I want to do the dyno this year so bad since I couldn't last year....but I've got multiple trans fluid leaks and I'm afraid of one letting go on the drum... We'll see what happens....if I do run it though...

    60ft, 60ft, 60ft...

Best I can manage with a set of street tires is 2.2, which I can do solidly all day.....that's WITH trans slip though. I want some drag radials too....I *did* read a review of them, and read that the BFG's are more "user friendly". It said the Nittos provide a good hook, BUT you really have...
