    i loved mine as well even though it smoked. they sound wicked awsome with a 40 series flowmaster and no cat. i had it dumped but tailpipes would look good.

    is this thing lifted or something because although mine looked ok, they really look awsome with muffer sticking out of the fenders with flares on it and a light bar. mine had keystone classic wheels and road hugger tires and a set of bad shocks that sagged about 3 inches lower than normal.

    i had an 84 with a 2.8 and automatic 4x4. it ran great but was too sluggish in the acceleration department. but in 4x4 it was awsome even with my bad shocks and street tires. my dad had a 2.9 in a ranger and it went for well over 200,000 until it was wrecked.

    cruise control light or not.

    does a 2000 gt have a cruise control light that comes on when you push the on switch but not when you push the set button. mine does not work and i was thinking it could be the buttons.

    it should work and be nice but i am not sure on the clutch linkage of the old tranny. the driveshaft may need to be custom too. other than that it will work. i love the way 289's sound.

    how to replace ignition switch

    how do i replace the ignition switch in an 89. just the switch and not the lock cylinder. is it as easy as take the 2 bolts off the collumn and swapping another switch on there or does the steering wheel need to come off.
