    I would still put my money on break in, I remember both my new fords smelling like that. first my 2000 GT, and I remember my 02 exploder had that smell when it was new. Of course both of those had a 4.6 in it too so maybe it's just the engine, but everything is running like a top now...no smells.

    dude, his has been posted soooo many times. No, your engine won't last as long as it should, but as long as your aren't way over 400rwp and a safe tune your engine should survive for a while.

    You should check out that ZEX kit that guy posted above, ZEX seems to have many safety features and even though it's a wet kit, I'm pretty sure they are specifically engineered to avoid fuel puddling. This will also save you like $500.

    Get a blower or get a mach, you are going to spend a lot on doing P&P, New Heads, Cams, blah blah and not have the feeling of the 4v, and not close to the power of a blower and you will be spending close to the same.

    Yes, 1. Headswap= roughly $2000 + Nitrous $750 = $2750 round to $3000 installed, tuned, etc... 2. Kenne Bell kit= $3800 non intercooled, $4800 intercooled. not installed. The nitrous will put down probably slightly better horsepower numbers and definately better torque numbers.

    Cooler Air= Denser Charge= More fuel= More power Shouldn't matter if you are NA or Blown... the effects may be more exaggerated when Blown, but gains of 10-15hp seem resonable.

    Why? I was about to go with the vortech considering it is smaller, and when thinking about turbos(which are essentially gas driven centri blowers) they usually produce better curves when they are smaller.

    What are typical power gains for mid-pipes on an otherwise stock mach 1? Cat-backs on stock mach 1's? Just wondering if you slapped an off-road midpipe with the stock catback would the gains be about the same as a off-road and aftermarket cat-back.

    I assume you are wondering which is better if both both were not intercooled. I would say vortech, because the centrifugal design is more efficient(at least I think it is more efficient then twin-screw)

    4.10's and a Blower

    I'm pretty sure funny cars and top fuel dragsters both have the same engines and drivetrain setup. They have neither an auto or a 2 speed, but rather a clutch and a rear end. The clutch slips off the line and fully locks up around half track.
