    Like these other guys said, I'd start with building a good suspention/brakeing setup, as what good is horsepower if you can't bring it back down safely? I would reccomend adding a set of subframes anyways to help the chasis out as we are talking about a car thats been around for almost 40...

    393 or 427 stroker kits for 351w

    In my mind there is no replacement for displacement. I'd do the 427stroker kit. I mean if your gonna spring for all the machine work and stuff anyways shouldn't you get all you can out of it? Thats my .02.

    Any car insurance gurus out there?

    My guess would be that if she doesn't have a licence she isn't legal to drive the vechicles, thus she whouldn't be insured. You would be the only one on the policy and it shouldn't change. Then again insurance companies will try to screw ya. I would call and find out for sure.

    I have the gt40p heads on my 68. I also have MAC long tube headers that fit without anyissuses other than the plugs look fun to get at (then again what headers are easy to get at the plugs) but everything clears.

    I bought a front suspention rebuild kit from Mustangs Unlimited and thestrut rod bushings are ureathane. I've done a search but didn't find what I was looking for. I've heard you should install the "cups" backwards so the bushings can actually flex some...is this true? Also on the old bushing...

    Should I weld this stuff myself

    I agree^ mig welding isn't that hard especially since you've done it before. Just tack your panals and double/triple check its where ya want it and have at it.

    Now I haven't even driven my stang yet, however I agree its just a car. The way I look at it nothing I can do to it cant be fixed... Even if fixing it far outweighs the value of the car. Nonetheless Im sure she'd be careful with it but its your call.

    Mac Long Tube Headers

    I have the mac long tube headers on my 68 they fit very nicely they do use ball and socket fitting I had a local exhaust shop make up a connector to fit them to the rest of my exhaust. I have no complaints with them.

    *Stupid Question* Draining Cooling System

    there will be a threaded plug on both sides I believe 9/16 they both need to come out to completely drain the block. But as previously stated why dont you just flush it?
